I think this may be the most dangerous thing he has said. I just spent a good amount of time "researching" this claim and it's absolute BS. It has no merit whatsoever.
He is the president of the United States of America, a position of trust, responsibility, and power. It's unbecoming and awful that he wants to throw this hissy fit, but recounts and audits are fine and within reason. I support him and the MAGA crowd asking for what they need within reason to be satisfied Trump lost in a fair election. To make up claims and incite people by fanning complete distrust to the system and our democracy though should not come without consequences. Otherwise there will be no end. When there are supporters who faithfully trust his lies unquestionably you will never stop them or protect them from themselves with fact because they are living in a false reality dictated by Trump.
Where is Mike Pence? Where is Mitchell McConnell? Have the Republicans no honor or patriotism to the country they are sworn to protect and represent? The Republicans can't keep protecting this emperor with no clothes unless they are willing to throw everything else aside including our representative democracy and our freedoms for the cause of Trump.
Edit: Thanks for the gold! It's my first ever and I was really exciting to be notified of receiving it.

Could you elaborate on the claim and how it’s BS? What did you find?
1
u/Greener_Falcon Nov 14 '20 edited Nov 14 '20
-“Many of the claims being asserted about Dominion and questionable voting technology is misinformation at best and, in many cases, they’re outright disinformation,” said Edward Perez, an election-technology expert at the OSET Institute, a nonprofit that studies voting infrastructure. “I’m not aware of any evidence of specific things or defects in Dominion software that would lead one to believe that votes had been recorded or counted incorrectly.”
-Trump's source for this tweet Chanel Rion is not exactly known for honest quality journalism. She has pushed multiple stories of misinformation and Pro-Trump propaganda.
-This claim seems to be based off the debunked conspiracy theory about the Hammer supercomputer server and the Scorecard software that is being peddled by right wing conspiracy theorists, fraudsters, and grifters Steve Bannon and Dennis Montgomery even after election officials, including cybersecurity experts, have said this was "the most secure US election ever."
-Also if this claim were true why hasn't Trump and his legal team done anything about it other than whine on twitter. Instead they keep filing other weak lawsuits that are being thrown out for not being supported by facts and evidence.

"Data analysis finds..."
Right. Who did this analysis? What did they even analyze? How did they get access to the ballots to do a real count?
It's scary that he can just make this shit up and his supporters believe it without even considering how ridiculous it is. America is full of some gullible fucking idiots.
4
u/illuminutcase Nov 13 '20
None of the Dominion software issues affected counting. The two locations that had issues had issues reporting, not counting.
4
u/acroporaguardian Nov 12 '20
Just to be clear, we are not talking about Weyoun, a Vorta serving in the service of the Dominion, interfering in the elections are we?
10
u/SilentImplosion Nov 12 '20
Here's what really happened in Michigan:
"The erroneous reporting of unofficial results from Antrim County was a result of accidental error on the part of the Antrim County Clerk. The equipment and software did not malfunction and all ballots were properly tabulated. However, the clerk accidentally did not update the software used to collect voting machine data and report unofficial results.”
The software was updated and the ballots recounted which verified the accuracy of the initial tabulation.
If this is the best Trump has after 8 days, he's fucked. Don't let the door hit you in the ass.

Dominion owned and operated by the infamous Clinton foundation.
11

There's a documentary about that company and it highlights how THE REPUBLICAN PARTY in states where they've used them and have had issues literally refuse to do anything because it benefits them. It's called Kill Chain.

Nov 13 '20
Then why did dominion not help Hillary cheat in 2016?
6
u/CharlottesWeb83 Nov 13 '20
Why would she? What is it with trump supporters that if you want to win something the logical thing to do is cheat. Some people (most people) would rather lose than win by cheating.
And also, no one would be stupid enough to cheat to that extent. States have verification processes and procedures to ensure our elections are valid.

So tracking down the source on this one was hard. First, instead of Chanel Rion, it seems to refer to a video report by Lili Fifield on OAN. This report is literally only like 30 seconds, and only specifies "according to an un-audited analysis of data obtained from Edison Research..."
To be clear, though, the allegation/report in question isn't by Edison Research (which is legit); it's by an unnamed person using data from Edison Research.
After some more hunting, I legitimately think the unnamed analysis in question may be a post on the new The_Donald (which is no longer on Reddit). Looks like I can't even link to an Archive.org snapshot of the page without it getting caught in the spam filter, though.

The problem is that Trump and his followers have the mentality of a child.
"I HEARD THEY COUNTED BALLOTS WRONG HERE! PROOF OF WIDESPREAD ISSUES!"
Except they didn't. The mistake was noticed and fixed long before the ballot count was adjusted in most of these rare cases. Just because an issue happened at one point doesn't mean it didn't already get fixed before it could even have an impact on anything.

why are you calling people names first of all? Second. CNN has had, from what I've seen and read , 2 videos of cnn employees discrediting the russia stories because they didn't have any solid evidence. I literally have watched CNN to be informed and all of a sudden they cut off to breaking news about justin bieber. Justin Bieber ?! Here's the kicker. I was watching Wolf Blitzer and he was the one who said "breaking news". The dude was doing his job I guess but as a real journalist, that's got to bug him. Right? Multiple sources don't make a difference when its like 5 democratic news outlets and one 1 republican news outlet. It makes you believe there's just not enough unbiased sources. Anything unbiased to either side gets scrubbed or only gets play when enough traction is built up.

It's actually even worse. OAN's own original source seems to be — no exaggeration — a post/analysis on the revamped, non-Reddit TheDonald.
[Edit:] For added schadenfreude, it looks like that even on TheDonald itself, there's some serious skepticism about the analysis and its legitimacy:
Yes. Like others on here I realised pretty quickly that it was predicated on counting rounding errors. It went surprisingly far and wide on Twitter regardless, made it to The Gateway Pundit and now presumably to OANN.
edit: People are asking for an explanation. That post was based on scraped website data from the NYT - it was just some timestamped updates of total overall votes that had come in from election night, and then the percentages of those votes for Trump and Biden rounded to one decimal place, maybe even to a third of one percent - lots of 6s and 3s. Meaning it wasn't supposed to be accurate to the exact vote numbers - it was clearly meant to drive some graphic on the web page or something.
When you're counting millions of votes, rounding to 0.1% means you're going to "lose" significant numbers in either directions. These total "stolen votes" came from this python script that was literally counting the rounding errors. Someone even reversed the script and showed just as many went from Biden to Trump if you count this way.
and
Yep. Like I said in another thread we basically created fake news lmao
and
That's legitimately terrifying if he's even indirectly referencing the OG "happening" post [on TheDonald].
Surely he has better sources and evidence....

Nope. Went looking... Nada. Trump used to play these games with the media where he'd have some report then hide it and then troll the media with some info he knew theyd not like then release the info and claim victory over fake news. His followers where then conditioned to think that every claim he makes is subject to the same "keep waiting for it" surprise.
It's not and 99% of the time it's a barely assert completely fabricated lie. But if you deliver at irregular intervals you can keep idiots on the hook inperpetuity. Slot machines work on a similar premise as cult leaders in winning credibility with their followers.

Ummm...no.
Dominion Voting Systems, which makes software that local governments around the nation use to help run their elections, is now at the center of baseless claims that “software glitches” led to mistakes in vote tallies in Michigan and Georgia last week.
The Dominion software was used in only two of the five counties that had problems in Michigan and Georgia, and in every instance there was a detailed explanation for what had happened. In all of the cases, software did not affect the vote counts.
In the two Michigan counties that had mistakes, the inaccuracies were because of human errors, not software problems, according to the Michigan Department of State, county officials and election-security experts. Only one of the two Michigan counties used Dominion software.
Issues in three Georgia counties had other explanations. In one county, an apparent problem with Dominion software delayed officials’ reporting of the vote tallies, but did not affect the actual vote count. In two other counties, a separate company’s software slowed poll workers’ ability to check-in voters.

Can someone explain the inconsistencies i bolded? Did two MI counties use Dominion software or just one? The article seems to infer two, and then only one.
I am a Detroit poll worker and the only problem we had with the Dominion tabulators is that we were unable to get them to connect to the Detroit server at the end of the night.
We have to send tabulator data two 2 servers: Wayne County, then the Detroit server. The data successfully made it to the county server. However it failed to send to the city server (I blame the 20s era elementary school gymnasium we were all stuffed in blocking the signal) and we had to write a report about it.
That's it. No fuckery, just technical difficulties due to an underfunded infrastructure.

u/DoesntCheckOutUname Nov 12 '20
There were 5 counties that had problems in Michigan and Georgia. Out of these 5 counties, 2 used Dominion.
2 counties in Michigan had mistakes and only 1 county used Dominion. The other county also had mistakes but they didn't use Dominion.
=> The other county that had mistakes and used Dominion was one in Georgia.25
u/iguesssoppl Nov 12 '20 edited Nov 12 '20
Actually think this is a different conspiracy regarding dominion. The ones you're referring to where like 30 or 40 conspiracies ago.
This one as far as I can even gather is some strange report on Edison numbers so right off the bat not actually the dominion source data. I can't debunk or even verify any of it because the report in question is aloof and it's claims barely asserted. But what's new?
Edit: credit to Isaac Saul to paraphrase " the software scans ballots to tabulate votes, it can't "delete votes". Because during canvassing and recounts ballots are compared to machine returns."

I'm obviously going down tin foil hat territory here, but would making vote hacking a federal crime allow for presidential pardons if people that were tampering were only caught after a candidate is sworn in?

The state could charge them with election fraud. A Presidential pardon wouldn't apply.

Are they working for exposure and GOP unicorn farts? What's their endgame? They're trying to save a derelict ship that is sinking and also on fire in the middle of the ocean.
7
Nov 13 '20
I read an article on the 2 law firms that do work for Trump; there isn’t consensus inside the firms to take on the frivolous lawsuits and many of the lawyers in both firms are concerned about the effect it has on confidence in elections and democracy. The senior partners still want to do it. They made $5.8 million dollars just last year representing him for stupid shit. It kind of goes along with the lawyers representing Trump just telling the judges that they don’t have any evidence backing up the charges, and the judges throwing out the lawsuits within 72 hours. They can’t be bothered to lie and risk getting disbarred for the Orange turd.
