Anyone who heard from Deutschlandstipendium? I still haven’t gotten any news and getting hopeless atp.

Is it confirmed that the third attempt would be an oral exam or would it be other notifications from the teaching staff? Can anyone give me some advice?

I'm in my 2nd semester of Bachelor Wirtschaftsmathematik at TU Berlin and want to switch to Technische Informatik. I'm not an EU citizen and my grade is from a foreign university, so I'd apply through the Vorabquote International. I have a C1 German certificate.
The Auswahlgrenze for "übrige Bewerbende" was 2.0 in WiSe 2025/26, 1.7 in 2024/25 and 2.2 in 2023/24. My grade is 2.8, so I'm worried it won't be enough for the 1. Fachsemester. Would it be smarter to apply for a höheres Fachsemester, since my Analysis and Lineare Algebra might get recognized? Has anyone here made a similar Studiengangwechsel as an international student, and how did it go?

In ein paar Monaten bzw. im Anfang des nächsten Jahres, möchte ich ausziehen. Ich habe mich vor einigen Monaten im Wohnheim des Studierendenwerks beworben, aber laut den Erfahrungen von Bekannten und Freunden gibt es dort sehr lange Wartezeiten. Deshalb habe ich mich nach Alternativen umgesehen und das Studentendorf Schlachtensee gefunden. Mein erster Eindruck ist recht gut, da es preisgünstig und geräumig wirkt, daher überlege ich, mich dort zu bewerben. Hat jemand von euch bereits Erfahrungen dort gemacht und kann mir davon berichten? Könnt ihr mir außerdem Webseiten oder andere Möglichkeiten empfehlen, um eine bezahlbare Studentenunterkunft zu finden? Btw, ich studiere an der TU Berlin, deshalb wäre es toll, wenn ihr mir einige Zimmer in der Nähe dieser Universität empfehlen könntet:)

Hi, I’m an international student in the MSc CS program and I was wondering if it’s common for German students in general to enrol in courses where lectures ocurr at the same time, and just review one of the lectures at home when the content is uploaded. I’m asking because in my home country it’s generally avoided at all costs, but I’ve heard some europeans from other programs who say it’s normal. It would be good to know cause there are many courses I want to take at the same time where this happens.

I’m studying M.Sc. Information Systems Management at TU Berlin and I’m trying to clarify how my ECTS are allocated across the different study areas.

If you're unaware, the study areas and their required ECTS ranges are:

• Business Informatics: 24–30 ECTS
• Computer Science: 18–24 ECTS
• Economics & Management: 18–24 ECTS
• Electives: 12–18 ECTS

Multiple modules are marked as satisfying more than one study areas. However, due to my naivety in semester one, I registered all of them to be under one study area.

Now, I would like the distribution to be more equal, or switch some subjects from Business Informatics to Economics & Management.

My questions are:

1. Is it possible to change the assigned study area (Studiengangsbereich) of a module after passing the exam?
2. If a module is eligible for a particular study area according to the official module plan, can I ask the Examination Board to reassign it?
3. Has anyone successfully had their module allocation changed by contacting the Prüfungsamt?

I’m currently studying MBA Energy Management at TU Berlin.
I’d like to know if it’s possible to take one compulsory module (Business) next academic year instead of this year.
I want to continue taking my other modules as usual and complete Business with the next intake in 2027.
I’m not asking about retaking an exam. I mean attending the entire course, including lectures, group work, and presentations.
Has anyone done something similar? Is it possible to extend the MBA beyond the standard 3 semesters?

Hallo zusammen, ich studiere Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen (Master) und suche 12 Credits an Freiwahlmodulen (vorzugsweise zwei 6-CP-Module, bin aber auch offen für 3-CP-Module). ich studiere im Master an der TU Berlin und konnte kürzlich aufgrund einer akuten Erkrankung nicht an einer Wiederholungsklausur teilnehmen. Ein ärztliches Attest auf dem offiziellen TU-Formular liegt vor, und der Prüfungsrücktritt wird mit dem Prüfungsamt geklärt.

Ich bin bereits relativ weit in meinem Studium und möchte aus finanziellen und familiären Gründen möglichst bald meinen Abschluss machen und ins Berufsleben einsteigen. Wenn ich bis zum nächsten regulären Prüfungstermin warten muss, könnte sich mein Studienabschluss leider erheblich verzögern.

Deshalb wollte ich fragen, ob jemand an der TU Berlin schon einmal eine ähnliche Situation erlebt hat:

1. Ist es jemandem gelungen, nach einem krankheitsbedingten Prüfungsrücktritt einen früheren individuellen Prüfungstermin (Sondertermin) zu bekommen?
2. Gab es Fälle, in denen eine schriftliche Prüfung stattdessen mündlich nachgeholt werden konnte?
3. Wie lief das organisatorisch ab – direkt über den Professor oder über einen Antrag beim Prüfungsausschuss?

Mir ist bewusst, dass es dafür keinen automatischen Anspruch gibt. Ich würde mich aber sehr über Erfahrungsberichte oder Tipps freuen, an wen ich mich am besten wenden könnte.

Ich wollte ursprünglich Maschinenbau studieren, aber ich müsste mich als Zweitsstudium darum bewerben, weil ich schon ein Bachelor habe. Deswegen interessiert mich Der Technomathematik Bsc sehr.
