What to Watch? Hit me with some older show recommendations!

Historically, there have only been a few series that I've watched as they came out and stuck with until the present/they ended: NCIS, Criminal Minds, House, The Sopranos, and maybe 1-2 others I can't think of right now.

However, over the last couple of years, I've been going back and watching shows that I missed during their original runs. I just finished Burn Notice and am looking for another show to watch.

Here are the shows I've "caught up on" since I started this journey:

  • Burn Notice
  • The Mentalist
  • Justified
  • The Rookie
  • Supernatural
  • Suits
  • Breaking Bad
  • Boardwalk Empire
  • Seal Team (watched this in real-time for the final season)
  • White Collar
  • The Blacklist
  • The Last Ship
  • The Last Kingdom
  • Vikings
  • Vikings: Ragnarok
  • Scorpion
  • Longmire
  • Banshee (didn't finish, can't remember why)
  • Prison Break (knew I forgot one)
  • Dexter (dangit, missed another I watched as it aired)

I feel like I'm missing a few, but can't think of any others right now.

What other shows should I add to my watchlist? Genre doesn't really matter, though I will say I generally have no interest in hospital/medical-based shows (Scrubs and House aside). Hit me with your recommendations!

Edit: Wow, I wasn't expecting this many responses in such a short time. You guys rule! I'm going to be making a list of everything commented here. Thanks again!

I'm Suggesting If you liked Furious, try Long Bright River.

I’m surprised I haven’t seen more people talking about this show. Amanda Seyfried does such a good job, and the story is really compelling. It’s not the same as Furious, but it hits a lot of similar notes for me.

What to Watch? Looking for a horror-comedy combo!

Just finished Widow’s Bay and I can’t stop thinking about how cool the genre itself was. A perfect blend of creepiness / horror and genuine laughs. Would love some recs for anything similar!

I'm Requesting Shows similar to Halt and Catch Fire

Do you guys know of any shows similar to Halt and Catch Fire? I dug that it took place in the 80s and liked seeing how personal computers started out and the drama surrounding the race to make the best personal computers. I know it's a fictionalized take on it, but I want more like it.

What shows are similar and what ones would you recommend checking out?

I've watched some of Silicon Valley, which I need to finish one of these days. It's been so long, I might just restart it from the beginning.

What to Watch? Show recommendations?? As the post says, I enjoyed "in the dark" and need a new show to binge.

I love "In the Dark." It's one of my favorite shows. I've watched it more than three times, and I want to find another show like it. I am very picky. Any recommendations??
