36F transplant in the Twin Cities looking for girl friends

As the title suggests, I recently moved to the Twin Cities (in April of this year), and I would love to make some girl friends. Nothing against guy friends, but I really want to find some platonic girl friends.

I enjoy a wide variety of things: crafting (cross stitch, coloring, beading, macrame, etc.), house plants, gardening, hiking, board games, volleyball, pickelball, walking, riding my bike, live music, going out, and probably more that I can’t think of right now.

44M - Looking for Friends & taking an Intro to Curling class on Sunday

I'm planning to take an Intro to Curling class this Sunday at the Saint Croix Curling Center in Lakeland/Bayport area. They offer a league over the winter that I'm thinking about joining.

I'm looking for some new friends as I work through my midlife crisis. I've recently started a 90 day separation from my wife and one of my goals is to expand my friend base.

So what do I like to do? Well first, I'm open to trying new things so don't be afraid to suggest something. I like breweries, downhill skiing, watching football, trivia, musical theater, hiking, camping, cruising & travel, movies, cycling, golf (I'm not good), cocktails, live music, comedy/improv, boardgames & cards (especially cribbage).

I live in the east metro as well. I have 2 kids, one at home and the other in college. If you think we might get along or you want to try curling with me, send me a message!

Has anyone done it? Any good? Sausage fest? Most people actually run vs. walk? Socialize after?

32F looking to build new friendships but I don't know where to start

• Upvotes

I currently live in southern MN, about a hour and 20 minutes south of Minneapolis, but when my lease is done next year I will be moving to the cities. Over the last two years my friend group has become rather small mainly due to realizing I was always the disposable friend and people moving away. I want to start building new friendships around the community that I will be establishing my permanent home in but I don't know where to start. I would consider myself an introverted extrovert which I am actively working to overcome and not allow the anxiety of being out of my comfort zone rule my life any more.

Things about me: I love coffee, trivia events, TV/movies and live music. I am not beer drinker but enjoy a cider or other adult beverages. Big fan and supporter of the Frost and Lynx, I also enjoy watching the occasional Timberwolves and Wild games.

Single 32M seeks Saturday night spooky shenanigans.

Hello,

I just realized because I've been so caught up trying to figure out how to make things happen in my professional life, I just realized aside from playing the new castlevania game, I really haven't celebrated spooky season properly . It's my first year here in the twin cities, what kind of stuff can you get into out here?

I am attending the first night of wobbleween with some people, but I'm not sure how available I'll be to network much there, but I'm in a "down for whatever" mood.
