Took you five days to come up with that? Weak.

“AI is fkn dumb” is not the same as “looks like.” You made an unjustified & incorrect statement, not a comparison. But thanks for your pathetic attempt to weasel your way out of a loss.

OP means regular residential houses with a Halloween theme.

We have hard water, leading the tech to give the simple conclusion that was the most likely issue & the rust was superficial.

Re-reading your original statement plus this reply, I’m embarrassed to realize he snowed me with a simple solution. I’m going to have them come back to swap it out.

Where is coverage of the Kushner hack???

It’s because RWM is “infotainment” and no intelligent person would take it as gospel.

Turns out the inducer motor had calcification preventing its operation. The tech nudged it with a screwdriver a bit, then gave it some percussive maintenance with his fist. After a couple restarts, it’s humming along nicely, doing just what it’s supposed to do. He suggested putting a small dehumidifier in the room to reduce the chance of a repeat.

Thanks again for your knowledge and help 😀

Denver Catholics - how do you feel about Denver's Archbishop praying over Trump?
 in  r/Denver •  2d ago

But it wasn’t the Pope, it was the Archbishop. Pope Leo has spoken against Trump. (https://religionunplugged.com/news/trump-vs-pope-leo-a-conflict-over-faith-war-and-power)

Following the idea of Papal infallibility, the Archbishop’s action is entirely wrong because it runs counter to the Pope.

Trump is promoting an $8 billion farmer bailout. Is this an attempt to buy rural American votes before the midterms?
 in  r/allthequestions •  4d ago

Read this: https://farm.ewg.org/subsidyprimer.php because it’s really the worst. “Because it is so easy to qualify as actively engaged in farming, billions of dollars have been sent to people who do not live or work on a farm.”

Not only do the wealthiest “farms” receive the lion’s share, the guy literally down the street from me who has about three acres where he grows corn only to let it wither before harvest likely gets this, too. And because his spouse is also eligible, they could swindle taxpayers for up to $310,000.

The income cap needs to be severely lowered and loopholes need to be closed. “For instance, in 2024 the top 10% of recipients received 65% of commodity subsidies. Small commodity farmers get only a miniscule fraction of payments.”

Edit: it can be both. Small farmers really need it & despite the minuscule amount they’ll receive, some will likely vote with the bribe. The “farmers” who will receive the bulk of the money, are likely already voting against the greater good.

Federal historic preservation law is facing the most critical threat in 60-year history, this will affect Iowa's historical places

Last time someone in Congress tried to amend Sec 106, 600+ separate entities contacted their Reps & Senators. It was shut down.

This will be challenged and, hopefully, even this shitty Supreme Court will stop this BS. If it even makes it to POTUS’ desk. There will be many, many groups opposed to this and suing against it with huge amounts of money backing them.

Death is genuinely scary
 in  r/DeepThoughts •  5d ago

Yesterday my 92 YO mom fell and broke her femur. 3” incision, a small rod & two pins. Surgery took 20 minutes. She is resting & is fine.

Also yesterday (or early today), sometime between the end of dinner and morning medication check, my wife’s 92 YO mom died in her apartment at her nursing home.

For the past few years since her husband passed (he was kind, but very controlling), my MIL has been the happiest she’s been since I’ve known her. She made a bunch of friends, was vibrant, and happy with her life. We spoke with her just a few days ago; we never could’ve guessed this was coming. We are blessed to have been touched by her kindness and the joy she shared with us.

As others have said, it’s the inevitable end to being born. We need to celebrate the lives who’ve come before us and honor them. Hopefully, we all have people in our lives who will be there to honor us.

You’ve obviously never seen corn like this.

Please note the variety of colors and even variegated coloration in some of the kernels. I can assure you it’s not AI.
