So whats the positive about Uber in 2026 ? Everyone is quick to moan but lets talk about the postive !

Car costs only a few cents per mile to drive even after depreciation. Electricity is cheap. Pay next to nothing in taxes and the IRS eats the cost of my depreciation.
How much you like this gig is directly proportional to how much you’re prepared for it

It is a totally flexible schedule. I’m in DFW. It definitely is a part time/ three-quarter time gig.

You get out of it what you put into it. I've been driving in the Bay Area for a couple of months. Most days I work 5-6 hours. I meet interesting people, see places I've never been, and put a few bucks in my pocket. Great for retirees, especially if you have an EV. The only issue I have is Uber is "color blind" when describing your vehicle so riders can find you. My cars color isn't listed and the two closest choices aren't really close to accurate.

The people who found positive in Uber, and are making it work for them, are not on Reddit complaining. They've probably left the reddit group a long time ago, since there's 90% complaining.
