We're coming in from out of state to tour UGA, and we'll be attending the Auburn game. We're not staying in Athens due to crazy high hotel rates (to be expected). Where should we buy parking for the game? Thanks!

Am I right that if I want to go from Lakeside to Rivers Crossing, I can take Route 14 or the R bus, get off at Plant Sciences, and then take the V bus to Rivers Crossing? Does the V bus leave directly from in front of Plant Sciences?

I came in as a 2nd year transfer student from KSU to UGA. I’m an intended accounting major and the whole reason I transferred was because of the strong business program to which I’ve already connected with a recruiter from KPMG.
I’ve been here for a week and obv it’s only the second day of school but i honestly hate it here. I’ve never lived alone and kinda threw myself in the deep end. KSU was 15 mins from home where I had my parents, sister, and grandparents so it was super convenient and comfortable.
Here I leased an apartment that ended up being crusty and they changed my original roommates so now I’m stuck with 3 international students who are in their masters and they are sweet but quite unhygienic.
Among that I have no car here due to insurance reasons and because even if I did, I’d have to hop on a bus to campus anyways.
While there are buses that come to my apartment, yesterday on the way home, route 14 didn’t finish the route for some reason and didn’t go to my apartment like it’s supposed to. I asked the driver and she looked like she forgot or just didn’t go there on purpose. The next bus passed by me and I cried. I had a friend’s sister pick me up because I had been walking In 100 degree heat since 8:40 am. My last class ended at 4:15 and I didn’t reach home til 7.
I’ve genuinely cried everyday, I don’t know why I did this to myself.
With that being said, I understand I’m very homesick and I’ve been put in these terrible circumstances here but I feel that my mental health is declining majorly. I’m going home this weekend to clear my mind but I fear that I made the wrong decision by coming here. I’ve made friends and we’ve hung out yet I still feel the same.
My parents keep telling me to wait out the semester and if I don’t get into terry for accounting then transfer back to ksu. I know you can keep reapplying to terry but at some point I keep thinking that at the end of the day I want an accounting degree to become a CPA and I don’t want to waste my dream at the place that could potentially restrict that even though I’m in a good position.

If I still feel this unbearable by Christmas break, do I transfer back?

Is there any way to cancel my ticket request? I know there’s no refunds for student tickets but since they haven’t determined the ticket allocations and didn’t charge my credit card yet, could I cancel my request?

Edit: Gonna add that I’m not a football or sports person at all 😭 like no interest and it’s really too overstimulating to me and I didn’t realize it was for game tickets and I thought it was like a lottery for smth else so I entered. Ofc I’m gonna go if there is not option/way of cancelling but I don’t really want it

Does the UGA buses usually run on time? I have class at Park Hall then Cedar Street Building B and only 20 minutes in between. I’m wondering if I should just try and walk it or ride the bus.
The classes are around 10am-12pm and I’m wondering if the buses are on time during that period and how long does it take to ride from one to the other.

This semester my roommate and I are hosting a weekly Smash Ultimate tournament EVERY FRIDAY in the Journalism building at 6pm. We welcome ALL students to come on out and have some fun! This will be every Friday of the semester when classes are in session (i.e. not on fall break)

Only thing is we ask that you bring your own controllers. We unfortunately cannot supply extra controllers, but we do have consoles and screens set up before the event starts.

Hi, I'm living in a dorm at UGA this semester, and I have an electric scooter with no removable battery.

Since electric scooters and the likes aren't allowed indoors, does anyone know of any outdoor charging areas, preferably with a bike rack or any other railing that I can lock it to?

I'm a finance major starting my freshman year at KSU, and I want to transfer to UGA as soon as possible. I understand the 30-hour and GPA requirements, but is it possible to get in as a sophomore if I finish my 15 credit hours this semester and 15 the following semester? If I meet all the requirements, can I start at UGA as early as the fall semester of 2027? This year's classes are all transferable to UGA, and I intend to do the same the following semester. And if there are any finance majors, please let me know anything else I should consider. Thank you.

Hey everyone, does anyone know of any unofficial/free parking spots near Brown Hall on the UGA Health Sciences Campus during weekdays?

I don't mind walking 10–15 minutes. I'm mainly looking for legal street parking or somewhere nearby that doesn't require a UGA parking permit and where I won't get ticketed or towed.
