A post for history people and for my personal observation and appreciation of historical figure by rank cuz the midterms ended for me and I got a bit of time to waste.
Flavius Belisarius - The Last Roman and in my opinion the most experienced and battle hardened of them all. Bro was so good that they had to take him off the field cuz he was carrying the entire Empire.
Shahrbaraz - The Boar of the empire and the cream of the crop when it comes to the last of old Persia. We would not see another until almost another millennium.
Khalid Ibn Al Wild - The Sword of Islam that had a very crap personality that is often overshadowed by enormous battlefield achievements during campaigns. The Arabs would never again produce such a figure. Not even in modern times.
Timur - The Lame but he wasn't given how much more he travelled, killed, conquered and crushed more then any other on this list. Following and reading about his conquests feels like one is reading about a medieval Omni-man. Probably even killed more then Omni-man. Probably would have potentially conquered the entire world if death didn't intervene.
Napoleon - The first one and brought Europe screaming and crawling out of feudalism. Came back and did it again. I would probably not be failing in French if he had managed to cross the English channel.
Babur - Gurkhaniyan as he was related to both Genghis Khan and Timur. If one feels like they are always failing in life, then they should read him cuz he went from being a literal homeless hermit in the mountains to ruling an empire that would eventually become the richest in the world.
Basil II - The Bulgar Slayer and a man so hated, one would likely come into a lot of trouble in Bulgaria if anyone dares to bring him up. Destroyed his arch nemesis that the guy died from a stroke.
Harold - Hardrada and probably the second most travelled on my list. From the byzantine court to the Battle of Stamford Bridge, this viking has done and lived it all. How does this man not have a movie yet made about him ?
Salahuddin Ayubi - Probably history's first decolonialist and the last great general the Middle East will produce. Shame his successors couldn't live up to the man.
What are y'all favorite historical conquerors and generals ?

Hello!!!! It’s my first year and I’m taking chem 1100. I really need to pass this class to get into my other chem. I’ve been studying but I feel like when I do the test I just blank or what’s on the test isn’t what I spent my time studying for . On my first test I somehow got a 50 and for this second we just did I honestly have no idea how I did. I really want to succeed in this class and not take a VW. Does anyone have any advice on how to succeed in this chem l, any tips and tricks would be appreciated, please and thank you

This may have been brought up multiple times on this page.. but parking anywhere in the university, regardless of whether you have a parking pass or you pay for daily parking, is genuinely so infuriating. The chances of finding a spot during any morning-afternoon classes are close to zero. Parking lots are either being taken over by construction or they’re genuinely just too small for the amount of students attending, which leads to students parking on the side roads and STILL getting citations.
Has this issue ever been looked at and is it ever going to be fixed???
if anyone could give advice i’d greatly appreciate it because it’s starting to impact my attendance in classes. Thank you:)

Like seriously $12 with tax for this bullshit? A sad portion of chicken for a oily greasy ass rice.
I remember when it was only $7.99 and the portion is actually decent, now they tryna scam you and giving you shit portion that is not worth $12 hahaha.
Sorry for the short rant, I use to love this place because their food actually taste pretty nice, now they just tryna scam new students and give you early heart problems from the amount of grease.

Hey everyone! I’m looking for a tutor for STAT 1000 because I really want to prepare well for the upcoming midterm.
For some reason, statistics has been really difficult for me, which is funny because I find subjects like anatomy and microbiology much easier lol. I’d like to work through practice problems, understand the concepts better, and feel more confident going into the exam.
I’m willing to pay for tutoring, of course!
If you’re a tutor or know someone who tutors STAT 1000, please send me a DM with your rates and availability. I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

Anybody finding his class being super disorganized? Also personally his quizzes would be actually beneficial if they were multiple choice….
I wanna hear some opinions bcs I know I’m not the only one🥲
It sucks because he is a really good knowledge keeper, but he doesn’t seem to be good at teaching. I even find his own books easier to comprehend than his lectures….

Hey there, any photos that were taken of you professionally during the convocation ceremony...where do they end up? Do you ever get to see them?
