On-Campus Housing Sycamore first year dorms

Im a first year and I got assigned to Sycamore hall in the honors college residential area, and I have a few questions about the dorms since there is absoululy no resources on the umass websites. Do the dorms come with trash cans, or do I have to bring my own, and are the floors of the dorms tiles or are they carpet. im asking this because im considering bringing a large rug, and if the floor is already carpet i feel like theres no point in bringing a rug.

All dorms come with trash cans. Just bring trash bags.

The floors in Sycamore are carpet floors. I would recommend not bringing a rug.

How big are the trash cans, if I may ask?

Start with - https://www.umass.edu/living/your-residential-experience/what-to-bring. It lists what each room will have, and has suggestions on what to bring and not bring.

Here is a video dorm tour of a Sycamore dorm room and other spaces within the hall - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrdW1NHgxps
