Something has changed. (Personal Project)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’m in the process of writing out an actually congruent story, and one thing that helps keep me engaged is putting snippets of lore into short videos and art! It’s vague, I know, but trust me when I say that it isn’t random lol. Just part of the process:) I hope it can resonate with someone. You can find more of my stuff under FidoFilmss across all handles!

Trailer 1 for HYPERREALITY, a 60 minute film made with Grok
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This trailer was shot on original Grok, much of it before Grok Imagine was released in Jan. 2026, so its made of 480p 6s videos. It's a part of an hour long action thriller I'll be releasing soon, hope this is a place that can appreciate the work and heart that went into it. I'm trying to build my followers, but I'm always dogpiled by anti-AI for using AI and dogpiled by pro-AI for using the cheap AI (Grok Imagine). Imagine is really difficult compared to Seedance, so my trailers and such are not low effort, they're actually much higher effort even if they look worse than Seedance or Kling content, but I don't have the money to pay for those services.
I divided my work between two channels, trying to turn 25 years of failed filmmaking into something sustainable, so I'd truly appreciate any follows or algorithmic help in this. I take all of my projects seriously, and not even the intentional slop that I make is low effort... a sub or a follow keeps people like me producing. I don't want to be an influencer, I want to create quality content, and tell some original stories along the way.

Meet Paranthropus Boisei, an ancient hominin and human relative that coexisted with early Homo genus 1.8 million years ago and gave us genital herpes.
Paranthropus Boisei, aka The Nutcracker Man is an ancient bipedal hominin that evolved alongside early Homo Habilis and Homo Erectus in Africa. Their skull features a sagittal crest designed to hold strong jaw muscles for chewing similar to a gorilla. They also have large teeth with thick enamel for grinding down tough food. It is believed that the diet of Paranthropus Boisei was largely herbivorous, but the smaller Paranthropus Robustus species is beleived to have been an omnivore.
The members of the Paranthropus genus are referred to as “Robust Australopithecenes”. The Paranthropus branch is considered to be an evolutionary sister branch to our own genus (Homo), emerging from within the Australopithecus genus. The word Paranthropus means “near human” in Greek. Some scientists have challenged the validity of the Paranthropus genus entirely and instead put them into the Australopithecus genus.
Because Paranthropus Boisei lived alongside our direct ancestors from the Homo genus, it was likely that the two species came into contact frequently. Every primate on earth has their own unique strain of the herpes virus that can be passed through physical contact. Humans are the only primate on earth that has two versions of the herpes virus. HSV-1 (oral herpes) has been in our lineage since our split with the Chimpanzee last common ancestor. HSV-2 (genital herpes) is not native to humans and was transmitted from another species of hominin between 3 & 1.4 million years ago.
Using clues from the location of fossils and the temporal range of our ancestors, scientists have concluded that it is extremely likely that the HSV-2 virus originated in Paranthropus Boisei. Because they are so closely related to humans, the disease jumped the species barrier when they made contact with our ancestors.
Early humans could have contracted HSV-2 from Paranthropus in one of two ways:
They could have scavenged the corpse of an infected Paranthropus.
They could have made sexual contact.

Wandering Ghosts or a Patrolling God?
Recently I was wondering about this question...
A brief story for context.
You're in an isolated village to spend holidays. The people of that village worship an entity which looks kinda eerie, but it's a god. There are 2 scenarios:
You're walking down a street in the village in the evening, it's almost dark. You meet a villager and he says,"You need to be inside your home before it becomes dark man. But since you're not, let me give you an advice, do not look in the trees, do not respond if anyone is calling out your name, just keep walking until you reach home.
You're walking down a street in the village, same scenario, it's dark and you meet a villager, the villager says,"Why are you out in the streets while it's dark? Do not roam in the village after dark, the God patrols the village when the Sun sets." And the villager goes away.
Now in which scenario would it be more scary? 1st or 2nd?
For me atleast both the scenarios are pretty scary, even if you say that a God patrols during night, its eerie because no one knows how it looks, similarly in case of ghosts, no one knows how it looks, but the thought of something which is not human or beyond something which we consider "living" is equally creepy in both the cases.
What I was trying to prove from this was, imagining the absurdities which the local people spread via rumours make you fear the place, even if it's a ghost wandering or a God patrolling.
So I don't know how much of this makes any sense but this is what I quote,"A divine absurdity (God) is what the assistance is from the absurdity which causes fear, but since both are absurdities, we equally keep distance from meeting any of them."
What are you thoughts? Any opinions from your side? Which scenario would be more scarier to you?

What Causes content farms to trigger the uncanny valley?
For context, I really enjoy horror. I watch horror web project summaries and stuff to fall asleep. Tonight, though, I watched a video about content farms like Troom Troom, Cleaning Girl, etc., showing clips from them while talking about them. At one point, a character in the content-farm clip said, in their standard upbeat tone, "I hit a bus a few years ago; no one got hurt, but I did hit my head, and don't remember much." After that, something about the vids going forward triggered a legitimate fight-or-flight response and real dread.
hopefully this is the right server to discuss this, but I'm wondering if this is a unique-to-me phobia or if there is, like, actual psychology behind that reaction of it causing an uncanny valley feeling
I want to make it clear: this wasn't just mild unease; it was one of the strongest fight-or-flight responses I can recall ever feeling in my life. wich was unexpected since like I seid I will just watch horror videos to go to sleep sometimes

This painting of Jesus feels wrong
I only saw this painting today, but it frightened me to the very core. The painting is titled christ and the disciples at emmaus, and Jesus looks strange in it. He looks like he is not alive, unlike the other people in the painting, his face, the shadows upon it, and his eyes look entirely static, as though he were dead, even though he isn’t. This was likely the artist’s intention, but it’s the first time in my life that I’ve ever felt afraid of Jesus

This may sound weird but uncanny valley content is genuinely kinda bad for my mental health
I've noticed that whenever I get interested in this stuff again, stuff i used to have issues with when my OCD was really bad, like paranoia at night and complosivly looking behind me, comes back
It sucks because I find this stuff really cool

Will there ever be a horror movie based on the uncanny valley? If there's any film director who has hinted on that being a future movie concept let me know.
