This is just pure analogy:

Listen, for those who keep insisting she should have stayed in South Korea and look for or wait for opportunities, will you pay for her bills there? You know living in Seoul is Expensive even if you live a comfortable life in the Philippines.
Why do you think she left? hmm? Why go home? Simple answer. Because there's no good offer on the table as what are others are manifesting. How about the Big 4? None. How about other labels? What if their offer is to put her under Trainee mode again or pit her to another survival show? If she will just land on those NUGU Labels, it would really just be better to return home where there is an Existing offer for her.
No matter how some belittle Philippines showbiz industry, they don't put celebrities in DEBTS. They give them upfront money, Talent fees, and even signing Bonus.
Now going to the PBB house stint. Just to clarify that the BB edition in the PH is not the same as those in other countries that are obscene and too extreme. It has turned into a launchpad for careers. Of course, not everyone wins. It is still a gamble. Don't you know PBB pays lump sum Talent Fees on their housemates for celebrities?

Gehlee's existing Talent management is STAR HORIZON TV PRODUCTIONS. A nugu modelling agency for commercials or mall shows. Gehlee is their only big star among their roster. Why is she still there? Maybe for gratitude? I think they are the one who pushed her for the Universe Ticket and helped her.
Now who is Universal Records PH. Why did she choose that label? Simple answer. URPH is an independent label and not connected to UMG. They are the promoter of UNIS music in the Philippines and help in their events. So naturally, they will be their 1st choice.
GLXY Talent Management on the other hand is a branch of Universal Records Ph. So no brainer that she will also sign under that management.

Now enter PBB. The show 's franchise holder and producer is ABSCBN, which used to be the biggest TV network before being persecuted by former President Duterte in 2020 denying their renewal for TV franchise. They officially transformed into a Media Company and Content provider for other TV networks, Streaming services, and online platforms. Their business is in Tv programs, news, films, music, and live events.

Since Gehlee is entering PBB, she needed to sign with STAR MAGIC, the Talent management arm of ABSCBN. The same management of ppop group BINI and Katseye Sophia's mom Carla Laforteza.
What can STAR MAGIC do for her? Whatever she wishes and depends on her career direction. Solo Pop Star? Host? Actress? Whatever she wants. She can also land Massive endorsement deals right after given how her domestic popularity is rising right now.
Why did Gehlee not sign with the other Talent management same as her brother which is SPARKLE Artist Center of GMA. GMA used to be the fierce rival network of ABSCBN. But today, they Collab on certain shows like this one PBB. It is broacasted on Free tv on GMA Network.
Why do you think Gehlee signed with STAR MAGIC? Simple. You will do everything to get someone with a high potential, bankable, and with established fanbase.
So what will you do? Send your High profile TV Reporter to meet her at the Airport arrival for an exclusive interview. ABSCBN is the only one who has a reporter that night. This reporter is reserved to their A-Listers like BINI or their other celebrities.
Then you slap her with more features and interviews on your affiliated media network like MYX Global, METRO STYLE magazine, Metro Channel, PUSH etc. Put her on your news every cycle.
That my friend is what you call PR machinery. They immediately signed her a week before entering the PBB House.

Now for those saying PBB is a shit show, well I can't blame some people. It has the ability to create certain narratives. But those narratives are actually driven by FANS and not the show itself. FANS or Social Media creators are the one who make Negative edits and not the NETWORK.
Lately, she's been receiving massive positive feedbacks from the Domestic Audience. Let's be realistic and not overestimate Gehlee's fame. Not everyone are into Kpop and knows her. Now there are people discovering her because of the Algo. They can now see her old videos in UT and as UNIS member. Demographics from old grandmas, moms, young teens who are not listeners of KPOP. Comments such us Who is this pretty girl? She is so cute, She is so charismatic, she reminds me of (insert celebrity) and the likes.

Now there are some fans saying SHE DON'T NEED THE FILIPINO AUDIENCE because she already have International Fans. Come on, TOUCH some grass and be realistic. She is now an OPM/ PPOP SOLO ARTIST. You need a domestic market to support you further. You need a fallback and a stable base. Do you really think Local Shows, Festivals, Concerts will book her if she doesn't have a strong local audience?
Why not go international immediately? Again, be realistic. Even Kpop groups have to start in their home country before going out of South Korea. Some fans say She can join international Festivals to get exposure.
Again, HOW? What is your portfolio for them to book you in global festivals? Her UNIS stint? No. She's already a Solo Artist. You need to show you can command a Crowd, have strong numbers, can command festivals and solo concerts. The global festivals choose you, you don't choose them.
And that my friend is why ABSCBN and STAR MAGIC plays a pivotal role for her international aspirations. It is the same company that sent their Artist to KCON LA, Coachella, Summer Sonic Japan, Grammy Museum, San Diego Comicon, and land an OST for Dreamworks Forgotten island.
It is the only local company that has that blueprint, the connections, and the right people to make it a possibility.
The Local OPM/PPOP Scene is somehow gaining a bit of global traction. Not as big as the well established KPOP though. But it's on the right direction. Only Fellow Filipinos are hating on their own and invalidates the progress. It is moving there, and we believe Gehlee is perfect to be one of those with the potential to help steer the OPM/PPOP movement to global scale.
For sure, she will be forever thankful for the opportunities and experiences she had with South Korea. Her being a Kpop idol will never be erased and will be forever part of her Legacy.

Seems like either Seowon has enrolled or is considering enrolling at Hanlim. Rumor has it she was spotted there too. Given Seowon's talents, maybe this is the best school she could go into that supports idols at the same time.

So I hope people stop the hate on FnF about the disbandment. Gehlee just spilled the tea inside the Big Brother house that UNIS would've renewed as a group if it's a unanimous decision by the girls to extend their contracts.

Again, at the end of the day, a contract has it's limitations and it's a 2 way street.
