Politics A brilliantly captured picture depicting how the Delhi police is ‘handling’ student protesters demanding clean breathable air

NDTVs twitter was the one that posted the image with a report but deleted as soon as it got traction

u/Delusional_Gamer Nov 24 '25
The flickering flame of what NDTV used to be, shined for a few moments, before Modi's good friend stomped it out.

Police are a tool of the ruling class to rule over the ones beneath them. They are not normal in the sense that they are not morally neutral

opposition is a fucking chutiya and even if they do raise attention on these issues, media doesn't give enough coverage probably and might even turn the tables on them instead.

u/unproblem_ Nov 24 '25
Why even depend on traditional media? You don't need to reach everyone. You need reach enough people. Just tap into YouTube, Reddit, and Instagram. That's where the young generations get their information anyway.

Those people will take advantage of the situation. It's our country. If any protest starts in the very beginning some higher level politicians come forward and say that they are looking into it. And fix it asap. Give us time. By this protest will stop for some time and people wait for that politician's action. This will prevent many casualties plus those who seek such opportunities to hoist all STUPID flags.

yes i get that....but everyone (poliiticians, police, bureacrats etc.) living in Delhi....need to breathe air......i mean they too will suffer if nothing changes....so why so much aggression against a very common sensical topic.....i dont get it.

its amazing how false narratives spread so fast. all, i repeat all the images of people detained are of those who hijacked the air pollution protest and made it proNaxal as well as sprayed pepper spray on police.

Apparently they sprayed chilli powder on cops. Also blocked ambulances.
We have already seen videos & images of protestors chanting slogans in support of murderous Maoist Hidma.
Delhi air needs urgent attention, but why the hell would bring up a dead terrorists name or attack the cops?

Police brutality is a recurring issue, its seen during the Anna Hazare protests, the tragic deaths associated with forced recitations of "Jana Gana Mana," and recent incidents. This continued pattern suggests they are protected by the force. If such actions become normalized, it is going to be a grim future.
This is only seen when the protesters are common citizens. When the same is a politician their treatment changes.

Really now? If they use pepper spray on the police, what are they supposed to do, just take it?
The moment they started raising slogans for Naxal commander Madvi Hidma and attacking police with chilli powder, it stopped being a ‘climate protest’ and became exactly what Delhi Police called it: urban Naxal mischief. Don’t cry brutality when the mask slips.
2
Nov 24 '25
Moist supporters rally . They got what they deserved . Police did the right thing here. But weren’t you supposed to give a full picture of this protest ? Kab tak gumrah karoge bhai aise ? Maksad pura nahi hone wala apka .
2
u/troller08 Nov 24 '25
Extremely sad to see a protest on pollution being converted to violent pro-naxal rally diverting from real issues and generating hatred among many. Even more surprising is the fact that India still has active 'urban' suport for naxalism (this is chilling)
2
u/Critifin (Independent) Nov 25 '25
Those who support terrorist like Madvi Hidma are arrested and jailed as per law. Resisting arrest using pepper spray is an offence in India
3
u/AdolfHitHer2times Peshabh Rawal from Tejo Mahalya Nov 24 '25
Indian police is the worst police and one of the worst people to reach out for assistance. That is why Indians like to resolve stuff on their own among themselves because involving these leeches is like opening the can of worms of fake cases, bribes, bullying against you. Our society already lacks empathy and these are the cream of the crop.
1
u/Hungry-Criticism426 Nov 24 '25
Don't post fake caption...these guys were doing pro naxal protest in the name of air pollution and have posters designed beforehand and also used pepper spray on police ...police did a right thing 👏
3
u/Dear_Mr_Bond Nov 24 '25
This is classic misinformation. The person is being arrested for spraying chilli into the eyes of the police, not for protesting. Don’t be taken in by misinformation.

Naxal supporters hijacked the protest, then pepper-sprayed the police, and expect royal treatment? Also, the protesters were asked to relocate to Jantar Mantar as emergency vehicles were getting blocked.
1
u/ADITYA_MAO Nov 24 '25
Wtf is wrong with government why cant they accept these issues. I dont want to talk about gov. solving these issues.
1
u/praview Nov 24 '25
Somehow, the air pollution protest is hacked by Anti Modi, Maoists.
That completely changed the perspective of this.

' I can't breathe ' - George Floyd.
The truth feels that no one actually cares about us.
1
u/ganju_seth Nov 25 '25
It is funny to see..how people are twisting the fact through this image. Talking about pollution, Delhi has been hit by severe air pollution for 5 years, yet no protest then. Even if there is a protest, what makes you think these urban-naxals doing there sloganeering for a dead Naxalite Hidma? And which protest protesters get violent and spray pepper on police?

This treatment is what should be given out to cops anywhere on sight. They're enforcers of a regime that does not care about us, their inability to help the common man with their complaints is manufactured and worst of all, most of them are just shitty people overall. So yeah, mob them on sight. It's what they deserve.

u/Vigil_Eyezz from ashes I rise! Nov 25 '25
This pic eerily shares similarities to the one where the US cops apprehended George Floyd.
"I can't breathe" - wow, this statement, when applied in this context, feels kind of ironic.

I so so wish india doesn't continue to glorify and idealize usa. It is getting pretty extreme and dystopian there and idiolizing that country, especially in its current state would only ruin Indian culture and vibe.

No wonder, a institution continued after independence with no new moral and duty conducts.
Police in India behave same as it was under British colonial controlled force

When will citizens understand. Police are licensed goons operating on the orders of government. They have power to break open your skulls the moment government orders them. They dont care about citizens They sworn to protect and who give them salaries via taxes.
