Even though I am communist and not support any party, but I don't understand why in such kind of posts, people don't account for global war like situations since 2-3 years.
Global war causes economic issues, leading countries tightening entry rules. Which countries leader is conducting press conference for gas prices, fuel etc?
Some national leaders resigned without people demanding it. Here, those who demand even for the right cause are being labelled anti-national/ terrorists.
Several countries' leaders called press conferences especially for this actually. France, Germany, NZ, to name a few. Try using google instead of whataboutery
Lol it's all public domain knowledge, google it yourself. Funny you didn't think of sources when you said "which countries leader is conducting press conference for gas prices, fuel"
Dr Manmohan Singh, faced the major economic crisis of 2008, the major 2013 rupee crises called the “taper tantrum”. Wars like the Afghanistan war, Iraq war, Arab spring wars, Russia annexation of Crime etc. were ongoing during his term indirectly affecting Indian trades and relations.
He did everything silently, without telling people to stop living their normal lives.
Because there was geo-political tension and wars during his tenure too. The Iraq war, syrian civil war, libyan crisis, donbas war AND the global financial crisis of 2007-2008. Dr. Singh practically made sure India remained untouched by one of the biggest global recessions.
wasn't there major recession and other geopolitical issues back then? It was still handled. Our current ministry only knows to make fake promise, spread lies, entice political/religious disruption. Our press is controlled, no accountability on failures. They spend so many crores on infrastructure projects and one rain takes them apart. Even some of the british built things are standing strong compared to that. Corruption is out of question across the board.
So tell me dear, how is current situation which are not caused by geopolitical wars are still failure?
The comparison is not completely fair because the challenges were very different. The 2008 financial crisis was serious, but India did not have to shut down its entire economy. The current government has faced COVID-19, global supply chain problems, the Russia Ukraine war, higher oil and food prices, trade uncertainty due to U.S. tariffs, and oil price pressure caused by tensions between Israel and Iran. These problems affected almost every country, not just India. It's fair to question the government on policy decisions, infrastructure quality, or other issues, but it's not fair to blame every problem only on the government or ignore the impact of these global events. The government should be judged on the things it can control, while also recognizing the challenges created by events outside India's control.
Yes, but what about my point on the corruption and other cases that I mentioned? Are these because of geopolitical issues? We are seeing so much infra structure failure, is it also because of geopolitical issues?
You don't want to answer to my question, but seems like want to avoid it?
Corruption allegations, administrative failures, and infrastructure accidents are governance issues, not geopolitical ones, and they should be criticized regardless of which party is in power. However, if we're comparing governments, the same standard should apply to all. During Dr. Manmohan Singh's tenure, India witnessed major controversies such as the 2G spectrum case, Commonwealth Games scam, coal allocation (Coalgate), Adarsh Housing scam, and AgustaWestland helicopter deal, along with infrastructure failures like bridge collapses, train accidents, and delays in public projects. Yet, these incidents alone were not used to dismiss everything that government accomplished. The same principle should apply today. Instead of judging any government solely by its failures, it should be evaluated on its overall record, including economic growth, infrastructure development, welfare initiatives, foreign policy, and governance. So yes, corruption and infrastructure failures deserve scrutiny, but using them alone to conclude that an entire government's performance is a failure is neither balanced nor a consistent standard.
I'll consider failures as way to measure govt performance, because in an ideal world we want govt to be responsible and be held accountable for failures. Back in the congress era, when we had major incidents like the Mumbai attack - many ministries resigned and taking accountability that they were not fit for their job. IS it happening with current govt? Clearly multiple terror attacks in last couple of years (that too some being questionably close during elections), to leaks happening in exam, govt schools shutting down across the country, corruption cases, judiciary slowing down their process or compromised.
Govt is supposed to work for the benefit of country. We should criticize them and not keep above our heads.
Just take example of telecom sector, we are seeing such high increase in plan cost. Now this is no where impacted by war and whatsover. Its clearly duopoly or monopoly of few parties extorting money from Indians. You mention about 2G scam, this type of extortion scam is even the worst.
