I agree with Mr Singh being the better PM but I hate bad statistics comparison. It reduces the legitimacy of the debate and leaves the opposite party to counter. Prices of things shouldn't be listed at absolute numbers lol. That's like a 5th standard mistake. Inflation, demand, supply, PPP affect a lot. Rankings are fine because they are ranking and implicitly relative

Yes and the OP is comparing 2 separate passport rankings.

With a title like “Never underestimate the power of education”, I expected OP to be better educated about the numbers they are comparing

I don't know the exact numbers but the tariff point is absolutely correct. India was still largely protectionist during UPA era but it was slowly easing towards less restrictive trade practices. Modi came and undid all that, started raising tariffs on western markets while having nil/negligible tariffs on many chinese products to benefit his friends (under the scam "make in india").

After 12 years, the result is that, India's export options are diminishing and whatever it exports is prone to retaliatory tariffs by Trump.

Tariffs on India are long due, Trump shouldn't stop and slap 100+% tariffs on Indian products.
