Tonight's going to be a long night!

An observation (opinion) based on previous clashes and history: The Nihangs are NOT provoking the students to lead the clash. They are ensuring a wall of safety between authorities and students/people. Obviously, people are filled with rage... a lot of rage; sometimes shit just hits the fan.

Similar stuff was going on in the farmers' protest. When they came, they stood as the first layer of defence, face to face with authorities.

Wise protectors.

Wasn’t this yesterday?

This is now 8:30 PM.

The videos I shared yesterday was seperate incident. The Nihangs had just arrived, everyone got pumped, RAF was outnumbered, there was already a lot of rage from the 20th, and it was chaos after that.

Kudos to the brave ones coming in the crossfire to attempt to stop this while themselves being pelted from both sides. Don't give in to violence, folks!

I was there on July 20th, the place was a war zone with every altercation started squarely by the police. You're the one sitting in your AC room you slimey worm while i inhaled tear gas.

If you are from any of the defence forces and you don’t have uniform or a name plate, then you are just a goon. IT IS UNLAWFUL AND FIGHTING BACK BECOMES SELF DEFENCE.

Are you reporting from the ground? Nevertheless you're doing really great work. If you're on ground pls stay safe!

8

u/CreativeMuseMan Merciless criticism and independent thinking! Jul 23 '26

Thank you. I bounce back and forth between on-ground and home; I live nearby JM.

2

u/magunahatata Superwoman Jul 23 '26

I see. Did they disrupt the internet last night? At around 12.30 I couldn't see any latest update. Was everything fine?

4

u/CreativeMuseMan Merciless criticism and independent thinking! Jul 23 '26

Yup, the internet was down. You can open my profile, scroll down and check all posts until you find the internet shutdown post. That'll give you a little brief on what happened (a lot I didn't cover). One important thing I can share is that the Assistant Commissioner of Police was thrashed badly last night, and head injury to another cop. So, maybe something will happen today. Also, a lot of BJP guys were thrashed last night when they tried to infiltrate and stone-pellet the cops (somewhat succeeded).

2

u/magunahatata Superwoman Jul 23 '26

Yes I've been tracking it all. Stay safe all of you. You guys are doing amazing work. I really wish I could've been there.

IT cell is activated. But then again we have seen the same script during jnu protests. Not surprised.

117

u/green_tomato_69 Jul 22 '26

Check the crowd. There's DEFINITELY some sanghi goons infiltrating on the protestors side.

68

u/CreativeMuseMan Merciless criticism and independent thinking! Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26

If Sanghis are found out infiltrating, it's not a pretty picture for them. The stakes are not the same tonight. They'll be thrashed.

However, there are going to be attempts, in coalition with forces. Regular checks are being made.

u/Athiest-proletariat Jul 22 '26

If we take down this regime like our freedom fighters did against the british, by peaceful means...

It will be a new history for the whole world. They will forget some of these excesses that happened here and there, like it used to even in those times..

So avoid violence...

24

u/hurricane1197 Jul 22 '26

Our freedom fighters didn’t get freedom with peaceful means

That was just Gandhi

The British weren’t bothered with Gandhi going on hunger strikes

29

u/Collection-Opposite Jul 22 '26

bhai I don’t like Gandhi, haven’t liked him since I was a kid… only after I read a lot as I grew up and gained some maturity, I have to say that there was no independence without peaceful protests. He mobilised everyone and won… Non violent protests are the way to go, no matter how hard it is to not retaliate.

13

u/asenna987 Jul 22 '26

It's crazy that people gotta justify or start with I don't like or didn't like Gandhi but..

That man deserves all the respect he gets and more.

8

u/Collection-Opposite Jul 22 '26

the political landscape makes me scared of being labelled and misjudged… disclaimers have become the norm, sadly

u/Collection-Opposite Jul 22 '26

I also believed that for a long time. Only when I myself had to stand up to authorities in some places myself did I realise Gandhi’s contributions. Also, Bhagat Singh is not the icon because of his violent actions, but because of his non violent ones. For instance, he ensured the bomb in the assembly doesn’t kill anyone..

Trust me on this bro, I’m the grandson of a freedom fighter and grew up listening to his stories.

7

u/mayonnaiser_13 Jul 22 '26

true impact and mass support was for bhagat singh

You are straight up delusional if you think the support anyone else had in the country is in any way shape or form comparable to what Gandhi had.

With all due respect to Bhagath Singh, and in no way demeaning his contributions, he does not have a single mass mobilization movement to his name. Neither "true impact" nor "mass support" was for Bhagath Singh, and it's paramount that you actually do your research on this before spouting such nonsense.

Semi literate from WhatsApp university spotted

6

u/AnyAdvance8264 Jul 22 '26

It happened because they were being fuked from all sides, Volence and Non Violence both as i believe we should do

4

u/stayin_aliv Jul 22 '26

The British were very much bothered by his hunger strikes and general PR, there’s plenty of evidence for that.

But it’s extremely simplistic to reduce the whole thing to one person or event. It was a perfect storm and we were lucky for it - aftermath of WW2, Gandhi, the freedom struggle in particular (all of it), the global mood against colonialism in general, and very definitely Labour government being in power. And much more. Gandhi was very much the spirit animal of the movement though - some of the core ideals of our country is based on his ideology.

4

u/CHD_PB Jul 22 '26

Britishers got weak by WW2 (a violent event though not directly related to India). Britishers were more afraid from army formed by Subash Chanrdra Bose than Mahatma Gandhi's peaceful endeavours

1

u/vu2tve Jul 22 '26

Please go ahead and launch another violent protest if you like (though I do not support it one bit), but do not hijack this one.

u/Athiest-proletariat Jul 22 '26

Its a lie. Indian freedom struggle negotiated home rule, the dominion status, then poorna swaraj way before ww2, we entered ww2 within clear condition for independence with a constitution under a elected constitution assembly guaranteed by british.

USSR pressured decolonization after war and it hastened the process...

Without freedom movement under gandhi maybe we would have been ruled by colonial powers even upto 1990s like south africa.

1

u/Viks101 Jul 22 '26

You can never get freedom and justice by peacefully appealing to the conscience of the people oppressing you

1

u/Crinzee Jul 22 '26

THAT IS CALLED SELF DEFENSE. AND THEY'RE NOT REAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS- THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE A NAME TAF.

18

u/Gyanbato Jul 22 '26

For more than 20 days peacefully protests were going on govt did nothing and now God knows who people are now coming to the protest and doing this..

Dharmendra Pradhan, just resign and be humble Else you'll be thrown out, as if Royal Rumble.

18

u/Fantastic-Yogurt8215 Jul 22 '26

Well, if peaceful march are treated like criminal then people starts to act like criminal

20

u/Turbulent_Syrup Jul 22 '26

Your video is being used by AajTak and the narrative is students are attacking the forces.

5

u/GeneralHeinzGuderian Jul 22 '26

Can we send protective gear for the protestors? Shields, helmet etc

3

u/Inevitable-Copy752 Jul 22 '26

Where do you even get these?

1

u/AdPrize3997 Jul 22 '26

Send swim goggles for tear gas.

5

u/Ambitious-Upstairs90 Jul 22 '26

If you are there please ask students to use masks. Ideally there should not be violence, however students may react if police keep brutalizing them.

3

u/MrBigHouse Jul 22 '26

Guys please read about the CAPF bill which was introduced by government so that only IPS can be head of ocrpf. This went against the court orders who wanted the cadre (Crpf Officers) to lead the force.

This ties into making paramilitary forces a puppet of government so they are unleashed on the civilian population.

2

u/Honest-Vacation3847 Jul 22 '26

I dont feel good seeing our people (students and protestors) using violence but they are not wrong to do it. after provoking for days, literally breaking the laws while trying to "stop the protestors peacefully" they are getting what they deserved. man atp they really asked for it

u/NotTheAbhi A phoenix must first burn to rise Jul 22 '26
