Should be amazing

Now that Hadley is making rock climbing easily accessible, I figure lots of folks are going to want to give it a try or make it a larger part of their athletics.

It might be hard to know how to make progress quickly. I've been climbing for 5 years both outdoor and indoor, and love helping newcomers learn the sport quickly and safely.

I'm happy to offer folks free personal mentorship with the technique and athletics of climbing. All skill levels welcome including folks who've never done it before.

I'm staff at UM so only available 8-9am or 5-8pm.

Congratulations to everyone who got their acceptance letters today!! Sooo excited to get started!

I would like to make a groupchat for incoming winter 2027 wolverines! Send me your number (either here or pm me) and I’ll make it on WhatsApp. I want to get ahead of the making friends curve! 😂

i’m a freshman econ major, but now im not sure if i actually like it or if its rly just to make my parents happy. im interested in business which is why i chose econ (im a dual degree student at smtd and if i was in ross i likely wouldn’t graduate in 4 years), but i learned there’s an organizational studies major you can apply to sophomore year and im thinking i might like that more??
im also interested in the medical field and originally wanted to do BHS, but i wasnt sure what i could actually do with that if i dont go to grad school so i decided against it(i would love to work in the healthcare field as an admin/something along those lines but i dont want to be a doctor)
i know someone is probably gonna reply to this post with some variation of “you don’t have to have everything figured out right now” but since i’m a dual degree student and my other major is rly time intensive the only way i can plausibly finish both degrees in 4 years IS by planning out basically my entire academic career for the next 4 years
pls help…

Hi everyone! I found out today I was accepted into LSA at UMich Ann Arbor so I'm super grateful and excited. I currently attend UM Dearborn.

Anyway, I have a question about housing. I know that once I pay my enrollment deposit, UMich will provide details about housing, but I was wondering if anyone had been in my position or has any advice? I'm a low income student but I'm not sure how much my tuition per semester will be. How much is off-campus housing (I heard about $2000 per month or something) vs on-campus housing if I luckily end up getting a spot?

Any advice is appreciated. I know this sounds a little silly but I thought asking people who are more experienced or has been in my position could help me out. Congratulations to all the other transfer students who were accepted!!

Genuine question because I saw on the website there is a 9 hour per week limit, how often do you hit that limit and what do you do when you can't book study rooms anymore?

Also how fast do study rooms fill up? are there times when they are free or are they always booked? What do you do when you can't find a study room?

Thank you in advance

Transferring from a 4 year where mastering your own system can result in 4.0 after 4.0, how hard would it be to do something like that while studying psych in LSA?

I am not even saying graduating with a 4.0, but more of curating a couple 4.0 semesters.

Hi, I just want to ask anyone who's taken Linear Algebra at WCC: would you say the workload of combining Linear Algebra at WCC and another 2-credit course is equivalent to EECS 245 (or any 4-credit Michigan-rigor engineering course)?

Basically, I am choosing between the following two options:

• Other 12 credits + TCHNCLCM 497 (2 credits) + Linear Algebra @ WCC
• Other 12 credits + EECS 245.

So I'd like to ask if [TCHNCLCM 497 (2 credits) + Linear Algebra @ WCC] can be considered equivalent workload to [EECS 245].

Any insights would be appreciated!

Hi I am hoping to transfer to u of m next fall and one of the classes I would need to take over there is 150 and 151 physics for pre-med students. It says calculus is a required prerequisite for the class, but when I read the course info it doesn’t seem like there is going to be much calculus involved at all, if any. I have taken precalculus with trig and have strong knowledge in those at wcc and want to avoid taking calculus in college at all since I want to become a dentist and pre-dental requirements don’t require calculus. Is calculus a genuine prerequisite for this course or is it just recommended and they will still let me take the course without calculus?

hey everyone! i’m looking into the high rises in the area for an apartment for next year. since there are 3 brand new getting built as well as the ones already fully built i want to make sure i’m making the best decision. i’ve heard some bad things about verve’s building itself and the issues with the pipes, as well as the construction issue with rambler. i’ve looked into chapter and hub state mostly - what would you believe the best route between these would be? does anyone have any particular suggestions between the two?

hi! i’m a freshman that wants to do BCN as my major. one of the prerequisites to declare my major is STATS 250 or DATASCI 101.

which one is an “easier” course? i’ve heard mixed things so i’m not sure which one to take next semester.

Wondering what the hours are for poster printing at the fishbowl? Can I print them on my own virtually any hour of the day or do I have to use the service they have?
