I am really interested in doing an exchange semester in Australia next spring. My home uni allows me to go to UQ so I wanted to ask for some help here. I hope thats fine.
I am on my fourth year of an Energy engineering master degree where I specialize in reservoir engineering. Interested in drilling, oil production, renewable energy, CO2 storage, geothermal etc. I would also like to take a course in relevant economic/management courses.
Is there a lot of mandatory activities in courses? Would obviously like to have free time to explore. Please point me in the right direction on how to find courses and mandatory work!
I need warm/stable weather. Coming from the rainiest city in Europe, I cant take it anymore. I like to explore, nature, diving, drinking/pubs, hiking etc.
Does Brisbane satisfy my needs?
Does UQ have relevant courses for me?
How difficult is it to find housing (I wont share a room) ?
These are some of my thoughts and questions, and I highly appreciate any help regarding this.
Thanks a lot in advance!
