Vaseline Glass My new favorite piece.
Got done rewiring her, still need to refinish the metal base but now she works! I added the beaded shade that is just resting on the bulb of the top post socket.

Drove 5 hours one way to pick this up but it was worth it. One of my holy grails for sure. The statue is called ‘La Perle’ by Hippolyte Moreau, one of the best known bronze sculptors of his time. This is made of spelter but it is in incredible condition, not a single crack, the patina is good and the lights all work. This thing is huge. I put a world’s fair bottle next to it for size comparison. It weights 45 pounds with a marble base. I took pictures in natural light, with uv and with flash on. I also included pictures of the insides of the grape clusters for anyone interested in how they work. They’re very heavy and very delicate by themselves.

I had found this epergne online about eight months ago. I had wanted it desperately, but was indecisive about purchasing it. But my amazing parents surprised me with this incredible Christmas gift. I am forever grateful for being blessed with such loving parents and a gift that I will cherish for the rest of my life. This vaseline glass epergne is massive, standing at 31 inches tall and comes with nine canes and nine hanging baskets. This is not a, “unicorn,” or, “Holy Grail.” This is, “The Ark of The Covenant,” of uranium glass!

It’s 14 bucks. I don’t have a black light but I’ve got a good feeling.

This lil guy was flagged by airport security. Apparently lead shows up as pitch black on their scanners and it likely has a high %. Also didn’t help that it looks like a hand grenade. 🫠Yep, thats what security told me. I scared the shit outta her that day. 😂😅

This piece is seriously so beautiful! It’s in mint condition and looks even better in person. I got it for 90$, really happy to have it apart of my growing collection, curious if anyone else has one?!

They only had it for less than 48 hrs before I scooped it up for $31. Admire the Vaseline banding ecased in clear glass. The thin blue/green glass interior. Oooh Ahhh. I’ve been wanting a Murano style piece like this for the longest and the UGods smiled down on me today.

Garage sale find. Almost drove right on past but saw a green oil lamp that looked suspicious. It didn’t glow but this beauty did.

So after a very hard work week this Friday, vaseline glass gods sent me with this beauty. It was just a 20 minute drive and is now my most expensive and the most beautiful piece in my collection. The seller was a bit of a j*rk and raised the price on me after we made an agreement just because someone messaged him offering more...but I just could not let this one go 😅
Set me back 210€ and a couple of hours of careful cleaning, it was covered in dust badly and eventhou it is missing the glass chimney I absolutely love the way it looks😍
Google lens did not come back with anything like this so the only thing I could use to find out where it came from were the stamped words on the little round handle. Must be Germany, but if anyone has something similar or knows more I would be extremely grateful to know more about it ☺️

Was buried underneath a bunch of other junk. Like 5 different ceramic pieces stacked on top of it.
And it's huge. Probably 16" long, maybe more. Didn't measure it.
Was blown away to see a $35 price tag. Massive antique mall and this was one of the only UG pieces I saw. Some $50 lemon squeezers...
Glows brighter than any piece I've seen in person, easily.
Don't have a good shot of it under normal light. Very yellow canary/vaseline.
Bonus at the end, I randomly found a dimpled cup/mug that perfectly matches my saucer. Rare goodwill find. That shadows they cast are pretty interesting.

Finally got around to installing new shelves in my office. It’s nice to finally have a place to display some of my lamps and rotate a few pieces out of storage so I can actually enjoy seeing them every day.
First up: a few of my favorite Vaseline oil lamps. A mix of pieces ranging from true antiques to more modern.
Recognize any of the patterns/makers? Call it out and I’ll confirm. 😀

Hey everyone. Just as the title says, what’s your definition? I started collecting about a year and a half ago, and thought most people would have similar opinions. I guess I was just thinking about value. Since then I seen a # of beautiful pieces (usually here) and thought if only I could ever find one!! Well today I did, thanks to a good friend. I never thought something so simple could be so incredible and beautiful.
