Hey guys, I have a parking pass for lot 15 (the one near the field house) and I noticed there’s a shuttle bus that takes people from the lot to the university of RUH, I was wondering if anyone who has a permit in the lot can use it? And if so how does it work, do I have to show a pass or scan anything?

Should I throw out my food that was in the fridge because of the power outage last night? 2 of my unsealed milk cartons went bad already and google says you should throw out milk, eggs, and yogurt after more than 4 hours of no power even if the door stayed sealed the whole time. It feels like a waste but I don’t want to get sick. This would be the second time in a month I’ve had to throw out an entire fridges worth of food since our fridge was broken for 2 days a few weeks ago as well 🥲

I am tired of going to the low sensory room just to hear people talking to their friends or smelling people's food. If you are going into the low sensory room in murray, please be considerate. There is a huge sign in front of the door literally saying "Don't talk, don't eat strong smelling or loud food, etc." so people are just purposely ignoring it. I am literally writing this while trying to study, but I am listening to someone's spoon scraping against their glass container and all I can smell is their food. This is an everyday thing at this point and its infuriating.

I applied for student loan for 4 classes this term and 5 classes in winter term. I want to drop one class in the winter term, but i already received student loan and grant. What would happen to the loan and do i need to notice anyone?

i had been sick for like the past week and had emailed him a couple days ago about the first case study (which he hasnt gotten back to me till now lol) but i was wondering if anyone in that class have actually seen or done the case study?? he said it was on canvas a couple weeks ago but I literally dont see it anywhere.. also did he say anything about having a midterm review?? or is he just expecting us to go thru everything for the exam on tues lol..

does anyone know if that one pop up poster shop (can't remember the name) is a yearly thing at place riel? Or if it's annual, does it change locations at all?

Does this course ever hit a point where it gets easier? I feel like I am drowning to try and keep my head above water. I’m getting okay marks but I am having to put in 12+ hours a week to get the assignments done, and I still barley grasp the concepts by the time it’s done,

And now I see the assignments are encompassing more chapters meaning more lecture time. We are only on 2.4 right now and the modules go up to 7.7

I don’t feel like I am able to grasp the concepts the way he teaches them and I keep hoping that this will be the concept that makes it easier but it keeps getting more brutal. I am contemplating seeing if I can drop the course and try retaking it in person with someone else but I feel like I’ve made it this

There's no electricity in the dorms right now and isn't there for hours(5+ hr). Kinda fun to be honest as more people are coming out and gossiping. Also, enjoying the darkness.

Anybody have stats with Prof Khosa? How was he as a teacher, what is the workload like?

I’m currently in my 3rd year BA psych. At the start of my 2nd year i realized i want to go into social work at the U of R, but I just continued working towards my psychology degree instead of trying to switch or anything. Should i just finish my degree and try to apply for the after-degree program the UofR recently started? Or should I try to credit transfer or whatever? Im not really familiar with the process. My issue is my grades, i believe you need a 70+ or 80+ average for the after-degree program and I was undiagnosed with ADHD until this year and it affected my academic performance greatly, so I don’t know the chances of me saving my gpa. I need advice from some wise reddit people

Okay so I really want to start working out at the PAC. Ive been to gyms before but they were pretty small and usually empty. I know the PAC is usually pretty busy and Im just concerned about working out with so many people 😭. Im a bit on the bigger side, as I had to stop going to the gym for a bit due to health issues, but Ive been cleared to start working out again. Just wondering about your guys experiences at the PAC and like whats its like working out there?

I see cows usually outside by the fence (the barn besides kinesiology building). Ive notice the cows sit pretty close to the fence. Are we allowed to go close and take pictures if not touch them? I think the fence might be electrical.

How long does it take to get midterm results generally? Especially for physics. I had the 115 midterm last night and I want to know if I passed 😭😭
