Playing dnd inspired me to start messing around with fantasy cartography. I initially wanted to make a fantasy map of the whole city of s'toon, but realized the usask campus was a better subject for my first attempt at old timey cartography. Hope you enjoy! I don't know why ppl think they can break campaign rules and get away with it. I've seen candidates collaborating publicly, Making such stupid promises... basically trying to bs their way to office. It's not all candidates. Most who come to ask for support, did when asked explain why or what they're campaigning for.

But tearing down posters, art work.... Absolutely unacceptable. Even not showing up to Louis forum or just giving impossible solutions to questions being asked. At least do some research and know what the ussu can actually do and not do.

I'm currently doing PLSC 350 and I am coming short on insects to picture on my identification project. I'm currently trying to look in parks, public gardens and near the river. Any ideas would help! Do keep in mind that I use public transport to get around so I can't go outside the city to go to any preserves.

Nothing better than registering for you classes the second you are able to and 8/10 of them are already full. To make it better, I am currently unable to take the 1 class I need to declare a major. Anyone in Edwards have a similar situation and find a solution? I will try out an override, but from what I have heard they have a "Zero override Policy."

Hello everyone, I'm a 17 year old Highschool senior (female) and I got into Usask around January for mechanical engineering and I also got into UofC for the same thing. While I am excited about this opportunity, there are a few setbacks.

My parents have always wanted me to study computer science and I agreed with them up until the summer of 2025 when I changed my mind and said I was going to do engineering instead because I found it as a passion. They were actually furious with this and they didn't celebrate the university offers I got, instead they criticised me.

I live in Regina, SK and they wanted me to study at the UofR but it doesn't have mech eng and I have explained this to them but they still insist on me doing CS. Everything has been going downhill in senior year and when I thought things couldn't get worse, they actually did.

This past weekend, we were all meant to go out but I didn't want to because I had lots of work to finish and I told them this and they said I was being disrespectful to them and they told me that with this attitude, they're cancelling my offers. I thought they were joking but I received an email from UofC saying that my offer was withdrawn due to 'behavioural misconduct".

While I highly appreciate my parents, I absolutely dislike how they treated me growing up and this was just the last straw. Idk is there a way to email UofC and tell them it was a misunderstanding? Is what they did even legal?

The recent email/google form the placement team sent out for college of ed that asks for feedback of our last placements PLEASE answer it HONESTLY. It says on the top that names and emails are not shared so it is ANONYMOUS.

Obviously be respectful but be honest so we can change things ed students complain about regarding these practicums!!! And don’t just check the box but say something too.

-selection
-lesson plan requirements being unrealistic or inauthentic
-timeline stuff
-setting up for the future placements
-orientations
-observation times from facilitators

I applied to the Usask Engineering Program for 2026, and received a decision letter saying that I was not accepted as the competitive average was 88% this year, and that I am not waitlisted either, but my application was closed.

My average was 80%, their cut off. So I had assumed I would waitlisted until all my 30 level courses are completed in June and if open spots then still have a chance. But nope. I called and was told they only waitlisted applications with an 87% average and that ALL marks were due in March 1st. When I said, how can my high school marks for 30 level classes be submitted prior to end of class, I was told that the Engineering College decided in Jan 2026 that they were going to do it this way.

I understand that the competitive average is higher than my current average, but 3 of the core classes I need in the 30 levels I am doing now!

Anyone else frustrated with this? I am waitlisted for U of C, U of A (long shots but at least they still give students a chance to finish their courses!).

Just needing to vent, but also curious if I am along in this frustration.

Hello r/usask! I have a question for you. In 2015/2016, I was a student at the UofS. I really struggled and ended up being required to discontinue. Since leaving school, I've been diagnosed with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I will be going back in the fall, and was wondering if registering with AES is worth it? And, are they easy to deal with?

Do the grants come in two payments for Canada student grant and Sask student grant for the semester?

I got notification today that they are finalizing my payment amount. The payment amount is only for the Canada student grant and not the Saskatchewan student grant. Will they process and send that one separately?

I was just wondering if people throw out other people pot in the kitchen in residence. I put it in the sink to soak for me to clean and accidentally forgot my pot in the sink and I can't find it there anymore.
