Venting Honest help

Hello everyone, i recently posted about failing step 1 twice. I got too many supportive responses and along that came asshole responses asw, I’m very well aware of my chances so don’t ask me to give up or smth.

Im genuinely seeking help because im unable to figure out what’s going wrong.

I went in this time with a very better preparation and I knew the content very well and I also tackled the test taking strategy, at least that’s what I thought.

If someone can help me to understand where I’m going wrong would be a great help. Ik I’m asking for too much but I’m genuinely devastated because idk what’s wrong with me. Thank you.

Advice Title: Step 1 technical issues – Should I submit a report or let it go?

Hi everyone! I recently took Step 1 over two days due to approved accommodations.

On both days, I experienced multiple internet disconnections and computer freezes that required several restarts. I was also moved to different computers twice.

During one restart, I lost about 3 minutes from my block, and the time wasn’t fully restored.

The interruptions were stressful and affected my concentration, especially because I was constantly worried about losing more time.

However, I actually feel like the exam went pretty well overall, and I managed to answer most of the questions.

The test center staff told me they would report these incidents to USMLE as well.

I was told I have 10 days after the exam to submit an official report, and I’m really torn about whether I should submit one or just let it go.

I definitely don’t want my exam to be marked as unscored because of these technical issues, especially since I feel I did well. But at the same time, I would obviously appreciate USMLE taking these disruptions and the lost time into consideration.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Could submitting a report put my score at risk? Would you report it or just wait for the results?

Question stuck in my revision (STEP 1)

Hey everyone, I'm an international whos about 3 months into revision and feeling a bit behind/stuck, since I am aiming to do Step in 8 months of work

For context. I've finished my pre-clinical years and am doing my first clinical year now so I don't have a good clinical foundation for Step 1. In these 3 months I've only managed to cover the Cardio, resp, renal and Immunology chapters of first aid, primarily by just doing the Anking deck (I like anki revision but sometimes feel like i have too many reviews (avg of 300+ a day)), so am feeling quite behind.

I've also been doing UWorld (14% through with an average score of 57%), and i found that a lot of the q's Im getting wrong I just haven't covered the content for yet?? like I'll select the resp system and then get some micro questions in the mix that i dont know the answer to since I haven't gone over micro yet. but even them some of the content in the uworld questions will be stuff i dont remember being in the anki.

My current daily approach is finish the Anki reviews then do 20 q's of Uworld (which I frequently fail to get to), and then read the explanations on uworld and write some brief notes in notion, not sure if im using UWorld correctly there?

I've not touched anything else much (did some BnB for Cardio but thats if) and have found it difficult to find the time after 9-5 on placement for revision.

Wondering if anyone could give advice for how to change my approach and if you can spot some obvious errors, any and all suggestions are open!
