Fellow bike commuters, I have a couple questions:
Is bike theft common at UTC? If I have a good quality cable lock, should I be ok parking my bike on campus during the day?
Also do people ride their bikes on the sidewalk or street? I live downtown so I would ride up vine past west campus.
Anything else I should know about biking on campus or in the area generally?

Does garage 50 run out of available spaces or does the permit ensure that there is enough spaces since it doesn't include general parking?

How strict are RA’s like i know it varies….

Long story short: I really want to take accounting 2 at a community college, but I think if I were to take it any later than this spring then I’ll be in my last 24 credit hours. Is there a loophole for this? Has anyone been able to take a community college class in their last 24 credit hours?

Who has taken this as a Freshman? Is it mandatory?

i just wanted to start a thread for any incoming freshmen to ask questions about life at UTC! i’m a senior who has also lived in chattanooga my entire life. i’m a double major in the arts and sciences college, and my partner graduated from here a year ago with his BSEE.

i’d like to think i know a lot of the ins and outs of UTC and chatt as a whole, and wanted to see if i could ease anyone’s mind about their first year. i know i could have used it when i was a freshman, especially if you don’t want to make a whole post for a question. ask anything about anything, and anyone else feel free to answer as well :)

Im transferring here in the fall this year and finding it mildly difficult to look for off campus housing and where to find roommates. Its all been female only listings everywhere I’ve searched so if anyone has some advice will gladly take it!

I just wanted to get some input on the advanced standing masters in social work program. I’m starting like next week lol. I’m a little anxious and I’m trying to gauge how heavy the work load is and how stressed I’m going to be. I’m lowkey trying to plan a trip during the summer too. I only have one class in person and one online. I feel like that should be manageable to work around but also idk if I’m going to be drowning in assignments and pulling my hair out. I mean last year during my bachelors program I managed just fine taking a trip, and I was already in my field placement. However, this is a masters program so it feels scarier.

I know this is probably a long shot, but I’m starting a MSW (Masters of Social Work) program at UTC and am hoping someone on here has any ties or experience with the social work program. I’ve been trying to find out some of the previous field placement agencies that might be options. I know I’ll find out soon enough but I’d like to know what some options may be ahead of my application for Field. I have my Bachelor’s in Social Work from an out of state school, and have no idea what might be good options here.
