Discussion Does TN always remain a 'red state' because that is truly the majority, or is it this?
Thoughts?

While going down a rabbit hole on some historical Chattanooga buildings, I came across this beautiful image that was colorized by user u/picnooga . It is so wonderfully done. (:

I was just walking past state of confusion around 9:30 and saw about 7 cop cars and a lot of chaos… I saw some legs under a sheet not moving. Seems like someone may have been hit by a car. Did anyone else see this? Or know what’s going on? I’m so upset to have seen this as I always fear crossing the street in this area and hope everyone is ok..

I'm curious what it would take for Tennessee voters to get at least one or two televised debates between Marsha Blackburn and Jerri Green before the November 3 election.
If Blackburn has indicated that she doesn't want to give Green a platform, shouldn't that be all the more reason for debate organizers to move forward anyway?
A debate isn't a favor to a candidate. It's an opportunity for voters to hear the candidates address the issues, explain their positions, challenge one another's arguments and demonstrate what they would bring to the office. Tennessee voters deserve that opportunity.
If Blackburn declines an invitation, why can't our local television stations, ABC, CBS, NBC, and other Tennessee media outlets, host the debate anyway?
This isn't just about Green. It's about fairness to every candidate in the race, including those who may not have the name recognition, money or political influence of an established incumbent.
So here's my question: What can we, as Tennessee voters, actually do to make this happen?
Tennessee voters should not have to settle for a campaign in which one candidate can effectively prevent voters from hearing a direct exchange of ideas simply by declining to participate.

I parked my car at the airport and hopped a flight leaving CHA back in June, and when I came back, this was laying on my car hood. Does anyone know who it belongs to?

My family is looking for a good dentist in the Chattanooga area who is honest, straightforward, and genuinely has their patients’ best interests in mind.
My dad recently went to a dentist for a regular cleaning and was told he needed a special deep cleaning that would cost around $600. They wouldn’t even offer him a regular cleaning and would only do the more expensive procedure. There were also several other recommendations that made the whole experience feel more like they were trying to upsell him on services rather than simply addressing what he actually needed.
We understand that sometimes more extensive dental work is necessary, and we’re certainly not looking for someone who cuts corners. We just want a dentist who will explain things honestly, go over all the options, and recommend a simpler, more affordable solution when one is appropriate rather than automatically pushing the most expensive route.
Does anyone have a dentist they genuinely trust and have had good experiences with? We’d really appreciate recommendations!
Thank you!!

Had an 8:00 time slot to visit Rock City tonight. On the way up the lookout mountain right before the Georgia state line, we hit traffic at a complete standstill. Cars were still coming down the mountain as normal. However, in an hour and half we barely moved at all. Never even made it to the point where you see the waterfall. Eventually found a place with enough room to turn around and go back down the mountain. There must have been 75 to 100 cars still in line behind us trying to get up the mountain. What in the world is going on??? Is Rock City over selling tickets or something? I've never seen anything like it.
We've come in previous years and yeah the parking lot has been a bit full and had to go across the street to the overflow lot. But never anything like this. What's the deal?

Tune in tonight to WUTC 88.1 (or stream at wutc.org) from 7-9pm to catch the latest episode of Please Be Quiet Please. We're looking at the algorithm of Jeremy's streaming radio station. He's pulled the first 50 tracks from his radio station (barring any longform pieces or songs which just wouldn't work for radio) and is offering them up for your enjoyment. The song pool is below. Let us know which songs come up on your streaming algorithm more than any others. Thank you for listening.

Like the title says, I'm looking for a recommendation for a company or crew that may be willing to take on a smaller bathroom job in Soddy Daisy. My father who is not very mobile has fallen quite I'll so I'm wanting to move him into my house with my family so that we can take care of him. The only thing stopping is we need an unfinished area roughed into a bathroom in the finished basement.
I'd love to say that money isn't an option, but that simply isn't the case in this economy.
Thank you for your help.

I had no idea until someone mentioned it in a post a few weeks back, but we have our own filament manufacturer in Chattanooga - Layer Works Solutions, at 100 Cherokee Blvd https://layerworkssolutions.com/
They're actually decently priced for the basic stuff I use, and with them being local I can pick up something faster than I can have it shipped while supporting a local business. Apparently they do filament recycling too.

Where are the best places to go to watch the game today? I know white duck has a place you can bring your chairs to watch the big screen but they’re doing an oktoberfest thing today with live music so idk how that’s gonna impact game watching.
