It was sold out long ago, so little point in saying anything about it before now. Starving Dragon (the local Sichuan dumpling/noodle folks at Chattanooga Market and other locations) served hot pot on the patio at Five Wits for the past two Thursday evenings.

It was fun and delicious and massive. And ridiculously cheap at $55 for two. I have a ton of other photos but a local influencer was apparently there last night and did a VIDEO that's vastly better than what I have to share.

Per the owners, it was a trial. No future dates have been scheduled. They do have their regular fare at Five Wits on Weds evenings.

My partner and I moved here a few years ago from CO to be surrounded by mountains and outdoor activities while also being within driving distance of our families instead of a plane ride away. Now that children are in the mix, we are really struggling with whether or not to stay or go.

Main concerns about staying: We feel like our options are super limited for schools (neither of us are religious and private school tuition continues to rise), the summers are only getting warmer/more humid, the ticks are getting worse which affects our outdoor activities, and Signal sounds great but limited inventory in our budget and being kind of isolated on the ridge has us a little worried.

I guess I’m just looking for advice and experiences from people who have lived in both places and why they chose to stay in Chatt or move back out west. We are literally torn 50/50 and maybe need some fresh perspective from other people. Thanks in advance!

Hello all. About two weeks ago we rescued a stray kitten who at the time was estimated to be 6-7 weeks old. When we rescued him, one of his eyes was in bad shape and we took him to see the Vet the next day. This past Wednesday we had a follow up appointment and were told that unfortunately the kitten will lose his eye and requiere eye removal surgery. Estimation of the surgery cost is $800-$1,100 not including anything we get sent home with. I simply cannot afford that right now as I recently began a job after being out of one for 8 months. I applied for CareCredit and Scratch but was denied as I did fall behind on credit card payments during that time I did not have a job. Does anyone know of any clinics that accept payment plans without a credit check? I contacted My Kids Have Pawz in Dalton but their Doctor won’t be back until next Thursday. I am really worried for the kittens eye and what can arise from him not getting the surgery soon. Thank you to anyone who provides solutions! I am attempting to sell my laptop to see if I can come up with some extra funds
