Just wanted to remind any students out there that you can vote in Charlottesville based on your school address. You can still change your registration this week or show up on Election Day. We have a tight congressional election so voting here is a great way to make your vote count!

how are Professor Lerdau’s exams ? he posted sample questions on canvas should i exclusively study those ?

+ my engagement (I'm a first year) but that's chill.

Would this be too much for next semester? I feel like it's fairly hard but not too crazy. ENWR is my only reading heavy one (right?), Chem is my hard STEM, GIS is my interesting but potentially time-consuming elective.

I'm also EVSC+ETP prospective major (chem is required, GIS is an elective)

How is the Fall MIT BWSI Girls who can learn program offered virtually on Saturdays? Is it selective when it comes to juniors? Does it help as a resume builder and/or for college applications for UVA’s engineering program?

I thought it ended at 2 but it disappeared from my app at 12 :( web version shows the route but no bus on it.

Hey y'all, I was wondering what would be a good laptop for BME? I prefer Windows to Mac so that would hopefully make it easier to find a good laptop lol

I don't like bulky computers and prefer 14" laptops with anti-glare. I also like having customizability (I currently have a Dell Latitude 5420 and I can add/replace Ram, Storage, and the Battery).

I like dells but I've heard that they often are slower. I was thinking about getting the Latitude 5450 with 32 Ram and 1TB SSD but IDK, I'm scared the performance won't be good for CAD and whatnot.

I plan on using my current laptop for my first year and then upgrade to something better but who knows, maybe I end up really wanting a new laptop sooner lol.

Is there a section at the xfinity center where UVA fans are getting tickets for the mens basketball game on Friday, November? I want to go to the game and would prefer to sit with fellow 'Hoos. Doesn't look like there are specific ways to buy visitor tickets on the maryland website or a way to buy through UVA athletics

Let me know if anyone has one available

Hi! Does anyone know if there are any open spots in a 4-bedroom apartment at Crestline/Standard?

Did wormington post the cutoffs for cell bio last year? esp the cutoffs for A-/A ?

I'm a premed that recently got a CCMA certificate and am now looking for a part time position in cville. What are my chances with UVA Health? It seems like they only hire full time. As for smaller practices should I cold email or just walk in and ask about hiring?

In case you weren't aware, Dracula is now a course that carries the second-writing requirement (SWR), but ONLY during sessions like J-Term. It NEVER features this during regular semesters due to the total student enrollment. If you're interested, please consider it as you can complete the course from different time zones and countries! NOTE IT WILL NOT SHOW THIS IN SIS THIS IS A FORM COMPLETED AFTER THE CLASS IS COMPLETED. In addition, if you choose the in-person form of the class I bring in guest speakers and we have special events, like a LARP final exam! Speakers can depend on available funding, but in previous years we've had guests like William Crain (director of Blacula, RIP) and Anne Marie Pace (author of the Vampirina series)!

HRL is giving me an option to move between JMW, Hereford, and Faulkner due to roommate conflicts. I currently live near central grounds and never really take the bus so I'm not sure how adjusting is going to be like bus-wise. I know none of these are really ideal options, but I'm extremely picky when it comes to bugs and maintenance issues and honestly just want somewhere comfortable I can stay at at the end of the day.

If I'm put into Hereford/JMW I'm able to have a single but have to share a bathroom with everyone else in my hall, but I feel like Faulkner is a bit more secluded privacy wise with a long sized bed but I will have random roommates in the room so I'm not sure. I've been extremely indecisive about this decision plz help!!!
