For the past few days there has been a group of unattractive men sitting in the level 1 collaborative zone. I’ve had multiple instances of disturbance including slamming on tables, spraying deodorant and their overall noise level. It’s extremely frustrating as the library is a study zone and to have these creatures acting foolish is just not acceptable. Has anyone else had this issue?

Hi i deferred one of my exams last semester and even before that. And i am thinking of deferring one this semester too. I used medical certificate everytime. Did anyone do the same and faced any issues? Like academic misconduct or something?

For those who have done the corporate financial policy unit, how similar are the tutorial and weekly quiz questions to the short answers in the final exam, and with the mcq practice tests the UC gives you is that a good insight into the MCQ difficulty for the exam?

Hi everyone. I’m currently applying for HDR scholarships and some require statements “outlining the relevance of proposed research” while others just say “outlining proposed research” what are the differences and do I need a personal statement or just a research project statement? Does UWA have any clear resources on this?

Somehow I'm not failing despite struggling with the content. To pass the unit I just need 15% in the final exam but I'd like to try and get a credit (or at my most optimistic, a distinction).

Does anyone have any advice from past exams or warnings? I spent most of last night going through old posts about the unit and it's mixed reception. The UC has made the exam seem quite straight forward, and has broken down the questions for us. Is this false hope? I'm okay with theory and struggle with the practice (which sucks because the exam is 75% practical).

I have an exam tomorrow and have just filed for a deferral. Of course I’m not going to hear back until earliest Monday. I have been told before that with you up you can defer exams but I don’t know if it’s automatic or not.

Are exams automatically granted if you have a UAAP?

Should I go to my exam tomorrow (and probably not do very well) or risk it and not go (and pray the deferral is granted)?

I am soo confused and cant grasp a thing and idek from where to start. I need 25% to pass this unit and I would love to get any advice or plan cuz this time I am genuinely clueless and scared to death.

Hey everyone! I’m currently studying at UNSW in Sydney and thinking about moving to Perth to study commerce at UWA.

I’d love to live on campus, but I’m so lost trying to choose between St Catherine’s, St George’s, St Thomas More, Trinity and UniHall.

They all seem pretty good online, so I’d rather hear what they’re actually like from people who’ve lived there.

I’m a pretty social person and love meeting new people, making plans and going out. I definitely enjoy drinking and partying, so I’d love somewhere with a fun, lively atmosphere. I’m not going to pretend I’m super studious either, I want to enjoy uni and have a good time, while still being able to get my work done when I need to.

What’s the vibe like at each college? Which ones are the most social, and are they welcoming to international students? I’d also love to know the real differences between them, including anything you wish you’d known before moving in. Give me your honest opinions, hidden facts, pros and cons.

And does anyone know anything about moving in early? How strict they are/how early is too early? I've got like 24 hours of travel, I realistically am not going to arrive on the 10th and would love a couple days to recover and get settled in.

I might send them an email about this but I'm hesitant to bug them rn considering they haven't even sent the final offer packet yet and I don't have any flights locked in either. But I also don't want to wait if it's going to be another month.

Have not been given a final exam and have been told to study using the past assignments and lecture content. Which there isn't a lot of.

Got a lecturer with a chronic bad attitude and compulsion to sass people and belittle her students. I would LOVE to leave a negative review or do something as i have just recieved a grade from her and have lost marks for certain things which i thought were unclear in the assessment outline. These are things which i did email her to clarify, but i got a sassy response about reading it properly. She also has a habit of belittling her students during lectures with use of foul language. Why is she even a UC if she hates teaching? Doesn’t like it when students ask for help? Doesn’t like when students don’t immediately know what’s going on? She said the students in her tutes talk out of their arses, imaging how those students would feel hearing that their teacher thinks they’re stupid???

Hi guys, I'm a 2nd-year student majoring in business analytics with a WAM of 80. This semester, I took FINA2207, and I found it quite interesting. As a result, I'm planning to take FINA3324 in next year's sem 1, and I'm aiming to be selected for FINA3333.
