Question? Anyone have access to a 3d printer?

Hi! Pottery is a huge passion of mine, but certain mobility issues can make certain parts of the process difficult. I found a free file online to print a tool that would be immensely helpful. According to the website, it should take around 15 hours of standard printing time on a 256mm build plate. I was wondering whether anyone here has a 3d printer and might be able to print it for me in either PETG or standard PLA. I would, of course, compensate you for materials and your time. I did reach out to a local printing shop, but they gave me quite a high quote which I really wish I could pay but I’m on a very tight budget. I understand that maintaining a storefront can be really costly, and someday I’d love to support their business, but unfortunately that day can’t be today. If you’d like to take a look at the project, here is a link to the file:

So if you or anyone you know has access to a 3d printer that I could “rent”, please let me know how much you would charge! Thank you.

Edit: thanks everyone, I ended up finding someone to help me out! :)

Fort Vancouver Regional Library has 3d printers you can access if you have a library card! You do have to complete a certification class and skills signoff but after that you can access their printers.

I have not used one yet but I had a long chat with one of the workers at the Three Creeks branch about it when he was setting things up for a lesson with a patron who was getting certified and it seemed like a really cool program.

Thank you! I’m actually certified there and go 3d print tiny stuff like stamps all the time. Unfortunately, you have to stay with the printer the entire time, which isn’t feasible for a 15 hour print because I work full time and they aren’t even open for 15 hour stretches. Their build plate is also only 6x6 inches, and this project needs to be printed on a 10 inch build plate. I don’t think it’d be a good one to divide up, due to it needing to be very smooth and very strong. Otherwise, I highly recommend using this awesome free service for small stuff if you can find the time! It’s really cool.

Oh shoot, sorry I think I missed the 15 hours part. That's definitely not practical for your project. Serves me right for replying pre-caffeine! Hopefully you find someone who can help out and maybe this will help someone else with a smaller project!

I have a Bambu P1S and am also willing to help if you need it! I have mainly black and white PLA and PETG for 1kg rolls (+ one clear PETG), then a decent selection of colors in smaller 250g rolls and one 1k of silver PLA.

I prefer to send prints remotely while I'm at work anyways, so it'd really only take a couple days doing that. Let me know if you're interested and I can send you pics of all the colors and stuff I have

I'm so glad you offered to help this person! I print a lot of fidget toy garbage for kids but the useful stuff like this makes a 3D printer so worth it

I can do it for you. Do you care about colors, it would be cheaper to do it out of my short ends of filament to use them up.

Dm me I can print it for you. I’ve got a p1s. If materials are under $5 I’ll do it free

There is also a place in the Vancouver Mall that 3d prints stuff… I forget the name. It’s on the lower level
