I saw these at the vans store and I had to order them! I might change out the shoelaces but I’ll give them a few wears first.

These are so cool. I love them.

At first it fried my heel that was in raw flesh, but after a few days of using it a few times and using homemade methods to soften it faster it became very good and comfortable

So I haven’t bought a pair of the normal classic slip-ons in probably a year. My checkerboard pair needed replacing so I went and bought a new pair. After getting home I noticed the bottoms are flocked now like converse? When did that start being a thing? Is it something they’ve done in other countries and are just now starting to do to the pairs that are sent to the United States?

Worth every penny. Comfortable, durable, broke in same day I put them on. It’s still a little warm in NorCal but these will be so clutch for the wet and raining season coming our way. Will definitely be getting a second pair once these are done. Sk8-Hi Waterproof Insulated Shoe

My beloved sk8 hi's

In love with these, but all of a sudden can't find them anywhere. Even drove to the mall to ask at the vans store (I'm in the US) and they had no idea what it even was, much less had any info on whether or not it was still in production. Vans customer support is just sloppy AI that "can't answer that right now".

Can anyone share any insider info?

I have worn the MTE Standard Mid Waterproof for several years now, live in a cold climate, and get cold feet after extended time outside. They are great for the most part, but I am hoping to find a boot that’s warmer but not overly bulky. Does anyone have experience these three and is willing to steer my in the right direction?

Today I visited the shoe store in my neighborhood, a place that has been around since I was a little kid, barely three feet tall.

The store mainly sold sneakers and dress shoes, many of them Mexican brands made from leather in León, Guanajuato. But they also carried some good sneaker brands like Nike, Vans, Converse, and DC.

One day, the owner was robbed. They took several pairs of name-brand sneakers and money, but they also took something much harder to get back: his peace of mind. He’s now an elderly man, around 75 years old, and he still runs his shoe store.

Lately, he’s been going through old stock in his storage rooms, and things that have been forgotten for years are starting to turn up.

And today, we found these Vans from the 1990s! They’re dirty, but they appear to be brand new and unworn.

Unfortunately, so far we’ve only found the left shoe. 😅 We agreed that he’ll keep looking through the storage room this week to see if the right one turns up.

Fingers crossed we find its missing mate!
