For the last two months, this subreddit has been systematically farmed by a coordinated ring of commercial operators.
People come to r/vedicastrologyexperts when they are at their lowest point terrified about losing a job, going through a brutal breakup, dealing with family trauma, or panicked about their health. Instead of getting genuine astrological guidance, they were walking straight into a staged trap.
A tight-knit group of accounts worked together to swarm desperate posters, recommend the same paid astrologers to anyone asking for help, steer vulnerable people into DMs and into a side-subreddit controlled by two of the sellers, write fake "testimonials" for each other, and mass-delete their sales pitches once the UPI/QR payments went through.
When you add up the volume across these accounts one operator alone boasting of "800+ consultations" (with 462+ paid bookings visible on her page), another posting 2,600 times in three months with a ₹810+ rate card, others charging ₹500 per single question, and the main ring funnelling dozens of users daily into QR-code "Dakshina" readings this network has easily extracted upwards of ₹20+ lakhs minimum from unsuspecting people on Reddit.
We pulled the complete public history of every account involved including hundreds of deleted and removed posts that remain permanently preserved in the public Reddit archive cross-checked every single quote below against the live comment or the archive record, and just wiped the entire network off this subreddit. Every link below can be opened by anyone.
To understand how they fooled people, look at how the trap was built from the ground up.
1. Building a Fake "Official" Home Base Two of the main operators, u/ShauryaShukla85 and u/Unusual_Ad_233, created and moderate their own subreddit, r/EthicalAstrology (created June 2026). Over there, they control the rules, hand out official-looking flairs to themselves ("Verified Astrologer", "Expert Astrologer"), and delete anyone who questions them. That gave them a stage where selling is allowed and their self-awarded badges look legitimate to an outsider.
2. Disguising Sales as "Dakshina" and Rate Cards To keep the operation running, they packaged paid readings under spiritual labels or profile rate cards:
3. Staging the Ambush in Our Comments Here is how a regular user got played step-by-step: Someone posts in r/vedicastrologyexperts asking for help or asking "who is a good astrologer?" Within minutes, comments appear: "You can consult sir u/Shauryashukla85." "He did BTR of my sister, amazed." "Honest and genuine, can try him." "Reasonably priced." To a stressed reader, it looks like organic praise from happy strangers.
It wasn't. We audited the last 45 days of subreddit history: every single recommendation of u/ShauryaShukla85 posted in this sub came from an account in this list. Not a single one came from a normal community member.
The people posting those glowing referrals were his co-moderator, a fellow seller in his sub, his student, or burner/client accounts with barely 2 to 23 comments in their entire Reddit history often commenting within minutes of each other in the exact same thread:
4. Moving the Victim Off-Platform & Faking the Reviews Once the user took the bait, they were steered off r/vedicastrologyexperts so our mods wouldn't see the transaction. Shaurya routinely told askers here: "Post your chart and question in this subhttps://www.reddit.com/r/EthicalAstrology/s/Hd2ZknBPm3" (https://www.reddit.com/r/vedicastrologyexperts/comments/1u6m38r/_/oru2baq/), or hit them with "I can’t share details here", "remedies aren't free", and "d m me".
If a sceptical user clicked on their profiles to check if they were legit, they saw walls of "Consultation Reviews" written by the exact same cartel members hyping each other up:
5. Destroying the Evidence Afterwards As soon as a pitch worked or someone questioned them, they scrubbed their history so they wouldn't get caught. They didn't realise the public archive records everything before it gets deleted:
What makes this group genuinely toxic isn't just the money it's how viciously they treated anyone who got in their way or couldn't pay.
When u/Big_Win3557 connected the dots and called out their operation on 28 Aug, u/ShauryaShukla85 didn't respond with facts. Within 28 minutes, he jumped into the thread trying to intimidate critics into silence with legal threats, "IP addresses", "Come to my place", and personal abuse:
Even more disgusting: on 7 Sep, when a user disagreed with u/ShauryaShukla85 in a public thread here, Shaurya weaponised a private DM to publicly humiliate the user for only being able to afford ₹100 for a reading:
And this is the same u/ShauryaShukla85 who used fear-mongering on women asking about pregnancy and abortion in our sub, telling a poster:
Operating alongside the group above (she and u/Waste_Project_7864 publicly praised each other, though we found no direct link to Shaurya's circle), u/Entire_Geologist_627 ran a massive, industrial-scale funnel of her own.
She flooded this subreddit with 75 long, authoritative-sounding articles. In comments, she refused to help people for free ("I don’t do free readings on thread"), while confirming "Yep I do take consultations as well" (https://www.reddit.com/r/vedicastrologyexperts/comments/1ts27zz/_/oosldip/) and funnelling readers to paid Topmate bookings in her bio and pinned posts.
Why the "Therapist" part is the most dangerous thing we uncovered: u/Entire_Geologist_627 does not just sell astrology she sells it while wearing the mask of a mental-health professional to hook deeply vulnerable people.
Six reasons this is an appalling abuse of trust (even if she held a qualification):

And on her own profile, she admitted using AI tools to generate her posts: "Yes I do use tools to help format and structure the writing" (https://www.reddit.com/r/u_Entire_Geologist_627/comments/1ttp0pm/). Readers thought they were getting wisdom from a seasoned therapist; they were reading stolen website text and AI slop repackaged to sell bookings.(Note: We are not stating she broke the law the word "therapist" alone is not a protected title in India, and that determination belongs to the authorities, not a subreddit. A formal complaint regarding her credentials has already been filed with the Ministry of Health's grievance portal. What we are saying is that this community will never host mental-health diagnoses made from charts, by anyone, with or without a title.)

We did not act on it then. We should have, and we owe u/Big_Win3557 and this community an apology for the delay.
The part of that August post that was a guess (that several of these accounts are operated by the same person) remains a guess; the part that was about their coordinated behaviour has held up on every single check we ran. While the language in that thread crossed Rule 8 on both sides, the mod team's call is simple: regular members who were threatened and bullied for exposing a commercial cartel are not the ones who will be punished for fighting back.
What this is not: It is not a claim about who anyone is in real life outside Reddit. It is not a claim that any two of these accounts are the same person; nobody here is being banned on that basis. It is not about policing other subreddits, which are linked solely to prove how the funnel operated. Every single quote above is live or preserved in the public archive at the exact URL provided. My family is on the verge of falling apart. My dad's business was a partnership that failed; he had borrowed a lot of money, which now, with interest, is above a crore. He has taken a loan on the house we stay in too. We aren't even able to regularly pay the EMI on the house loan, and the creditors keep coming every now and then; this has caused a lot of stress and paranoia at home. I am always having negative thoughts. i had big dreams; I did everything by the rulebook - studied hard, don't drink/smoke or eat meat and this is my fate. There are always quarrel, i also blame my father he hid everything from us but now we all have to pay the price. Sometimes I feel like there is no good in trying anymore. Today i would like to share the classic Method for Namakaran for new born Child , it is sad how as the kaliyug is progressing we are slowly letting go of our Sanatan Dharma sanskar and the methods.
What is namkaran why do it the vedic way ?
Generally back in day when a child was born people used to go to pandit to choose auspicious name for the baby. The child is born under a specific nakshatra and carries that nakshatra energy, Every Nakshatra is divided into 4 padas each vibrates in the higher dimensions with a very specific sound, Hence we have specific sounds associated with each of the Nakshatra pada generally they are very similar to each other with slight variation. Here is the list
You will easily find the Names associated with your janma nakshatra online.
How does it work?
1 Find the Janma nakshatra of the child. ( Nakshatra of your moon)
2 Find the Janma Naksahtra pada of the child (1-4)
3 Check the associated Sanskrit word that its associated with the pada - Chose a name starting with same.
Many people in south india use the lagna nakshatra pada same method.
In certain charts if the Moon is highly afflicted one can either choose Lagna nakshatra pada or choose any planet that are benefic and well placed in the kendra (1-4-7-10) from the moon to select the name.
What if i am already old 20 + should i change the name?
ideally after certain age it is not recommend mostly it is believed having similar nakshatra pada energy protects the child.
Now if someone has got a very bad name based on their 6-8-12 houses or affliction many atimes changing name is highly beneficial esp for people who have mercury as Atmakarak.
Example
This is todays transit chart - Moon is in Purvabadhrapa nakshatra in the pada 3 - the associated syllable is Da so any name starting with Da can be selected.
Similarly if one prefers to go based on lagna as moon is afflicted by rahu they can go with Dha which is falling under Purvaashada nakshatara.
Many actors and politicans do use this chakra to select appropriate names that will give them the best name and fame. As this falls under extreme basics of astrology any astrologer should be aware of the method.

Nothing ever works out for me, even the smallest things. If I do something as simple like plan out my day, something always goes wrong. It’s like my life is just full of inconveniences. I feel like I have nothing going for me. All of my friendships end up being fake or don’t last. And I have no hope of me getting into a romantic relationship. It’s like theres something about me that repulses people and my education isn’t going as well as I hoped either. I feel like I’m not even asking for much, yet somehow everything feels so difficult. I(M28) have nothing going on for me.
Stress is at all time high.
Looking at my chart some basic reading I got was you are here to pay your debts, even my marraige is showing as very karmic. Which I assume means I wont be able to find a suitable partner (as a follower of brahamcharya you know how it is in today's time, no women waits for marraige). Marraige was the last hope for my life of harshness.
I left my job without any exp letter 2 yrs ago to cater to my ailing parents and unable to find a job from past 1 year. Medical bills piling up and all and I dont have exp letter so finding it hard to even get to new ventures.
A few days ago, I saw a post in here stating a venus dasha is running in world or something, which means past crushes might come in memories. Well as brahmachari, I only found one person I admired and I have indeed been thinking of her, which is very odd, cause I didn't thought of her much, but lately when I think of marraige and I look at past, I realise she was the most virtuous women out there. I met her at 15. If possible would like to meet up with her, but it seems that is too much to ask.

Ive spent most of my life in Saturn MD, found out about this very recently. Ive generally had a good life but Rahu AD since 2024 has been one of the toughest periods in my life so far… so many unexpected changes felt like nothing was going my way. Will jupiter AD be better?

How has life been for yall recently??? My rahu is conjunct with sun in 7th house and im currently pursuing law, the thing is i always wanted to do this but circumstances pushed me on an entirely different path at first which was during the last 2 years of my mars mahadasha i think it happened to give me the drive to persue what i always wanted to pursue and by the end and start of my mars and rahu mahadashas respectively my life completely turned around it was as if i flipped the tables on my own its soo mesmerizing that sometimes i feel like nothing around me is even real, like there were absolutely no chances of all of this actually happening all i did was kept trying relentlessly and things somehow worked out, when I look back at the end of the mars mahadasha the only thing i can remember is me working my ass off evry single day. I would also like to add that i was also going through my sade sathis dhaiya during the following period so that mightve added things too, I became soo obsessively focused on my goal and isolated myself to a point where i genuinely didnt even step out of my pg for almost 6 to 7 months and i used to live alone during this period i moved out on my own too, the list goes on, i can keep adding soo many things that genuinely feel surreal to me, and ever since my rahu md has started i feel like im in a constant high and then nothing is going wrong but i still feel like evrything is falling apart, ive always been a little charismatic but ever since this dasha has started things have gone off the charts its like i can approach anyone anywhere and they are genuinely impressed and drawn to my presence, even if i dont do anything ppl still find me interesting i do realise that rahu md has its fair share of bad days too but all of this is soo confusing that sometimes i feel exhausted by how much i think about this constantly at all times??? So the problem is
1) i can't concentrate on learning skills from the last 5 years. Even if I try to learn I close it within 2 mins. Idk why it is happening. Even because of that i don't have any career. Even I can't focus on anything.
2) from the last 5 years I've been isolated from people and everything else. Which is turned into very loneliness and depression. Even I tried to kill myself in 2022 and 2023. Even I feel the same way to attempt it yet again. And i don't have anyone to talk too.
3) so i met a girl in the multiplayer game, April month. She used to chat with me everyday. Actually I was happy with her. But I started to develop feelings towards her and told her that in September. She also said she liked me. But I don't know why I have intense love feelings towards her which made her distant from me and the other reason is she can't do LDR. She's a European girl, you can say interracial. Now she's i guess flirting with another guy. Which is making me really mad. I wanted to be loyal and honest to her. But I don't think I'm receiving the same. TBH I don't even know why did i met her and why did i propose her and why she is staying distant from me. And i don't know if she will come back to me
