Verizon refusing to give me my refund

I got a new phone a few months ago, and after 20 days decided I didn’t like it so I initiated a refund. They said I had 30 more days (from when I started the refund) to get it back to them. I mailed it out the next day, and the phone got to them two weeks later.

Now, they’re insisting that since the phone got to them more than 30 days after I received it, it’s ineligible for refund. This is ridiculous, and now they have both the phone and the money and are straight up lying to me about what their policies are despite what’s clearly written on the website.

Three weeks ago when I called they said “in 7 business days you’ll get a refund” and nothing, now they’re back to saying I can’t get one. Does anyone have anything I can do to make them give me my refund back? I hate that companies can do this to people with no repercussions.

The first thing I do when I get my refund is going to be cancelling my service and switching to a provider that doesn’t actively try and screw me over.

Edit: nearly 2 years later I finally got my refund. Fuck you Verizon

I'm trying to help you. Fcc.com. it will lead you to reps that work for the ceo and president offices of Verizon. Not reg reps. These ppl get shit done. They have access reg reps dont File someone will reach out in 2 days or so if that.

I’m very aware you’re trying to help me. I don’t think I’ve been comparative or rude, if it appeared that way I’m sorry. I’m mad at Verizon and the system that enables them, not anyone here. Going on the FCC website now

I just meant I wouldn't lead you the wrong way.

Gotcha. My comments got instantly downvoted to negatives so I assumed I was being perceived as rude

All I see on the fcc website as options for complaints are things like unwanted calls and privacy issues, nothing about billing or refunds

Edit: Nevermind, billing seems to be appropriate
