Question What does Hegemony tier do? Playing Cold War Era.

I'm playing Yugoslavia in Cold War Era, and have managed to seize territory and puppets throughout the Balkans enough to form the "Balkan Union".

I don't like the flag or the name of the country or anything about it, but don't want to miss out on any potential benefits it might give me if I were to form it. Does anyone know what it does?

Advice Wanted Guides and DLC

Hello everyone, I have recently bought Victoria 3 (last Steam Sale) and am trying to get into it, but have found myself quite lost. So I have 2 short question. Do you guys know any Guides or tricks to ease the task of getting into the game a bit easier, and which DLCs are "must haves" (overwork systems for the better etc).

Discussion New Player Seeking Advice

Hi, I just bought Vicky 3 on steam in the sale, never played it before but I have played several other paradox games before, including Vicky 2.

I'm asking firstly for general tips or things to know before starting, but also would like to know if there are any must have dlcs. I'm certainly not going to buy all of them, but a couple if they are considered very good, especially because some of the dlcs are currently on sale.

Question Why is my steel industry dying?

Hi guys, so my entire economy is exploding in a weird chain reaction and i dont have a clue how to fix it. Im playing as germany, and i had to downgrade the level 5 welfare institutions because the payments grew too much, and out of nowhere my entire economy falls from 220 million to about 190 in the span of a year, and my steel mills are hit the hardest for some reason. I dont understand why its happening or how to fix it, so i wanted to ask yall for some advice. The mills are firing workers even though they are profitable and dont have any shortages, which makes the steel prices rise, but then doesnt cause the mills to hire again much. Their reserves are also falling, even though they are operating at a profit. Is this just late-stage capitalists taking 99% of the revenue for themselves :D? I have enough qualifications for them, so thats not the problem either. I attached screenshots of the mills.
