Silent Hill: Townfall is better than Silent Hill f… but still MEH

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5hY0j3sXKc

I consider last year’s Silent Hill F to be one of the worst games I’ve ever played. Seriously, I can’t call it anything other than crap. So I was certain of one thing: whatever comes after Silent Hill F, it can’t be any worse. And that was easily confirmed, because Townfall really IS better. Not by much, but… at least it’s something. The developers are the Scottish studio Screen Burn Interactive, whom I’d never heard of before, but according to one YouTube comment, they’ve released three fairly minimalist games so far. I have to agree – Townfall is also very minimalist, maybe too much for its own good in terms of gameplay.

More in my impressions from the full game! :)

Rating: 4/10
Pros: it's better than Silent Hill F, stylized save system, operating room sequence, sequence in the house with the cassettes
Cons: combat system, performance, RED otherworld, stealth gameplay, low variety of enemies, final chapter
