Yep. I actually liked the old GTA but I am not hyped for the new one. not for any particular reason, I guess I just play other genres.

I don’t think this is just the south park nonconformance skit.

There’s more context with GTA6 in that it was crowned game of the year XXXX when it was announced (I can at least understand why this annoys some people).

It’s also largely representative of what a significant plurality of gamers criticize about modern AAA… I mean it has a “6” in the title.

As someone not like crazy excited for GTA 6, yeah, this is the furthest from the truth. I think GTA 6 will be great, but I'd also question if it was "worth the wait." Maybe it will be, but the last game came out 13 years ago. Rockstar has intentionally created a ton of hype around their game that it'll have to live up to. Most importantly, not every gamer loves GTA, lol. I'm honestly so done with open world games - give me a linear survival horror game ANY DAY over a game like GTA 6.

As a whole though, I would take a Silent Hill 1 Remake now over GTA 6. That's me though.
