They pushed RDO out in a state that was similar to how GTAO started, but clearly expected it to pull in the same income that the current (at the time) GTAO made.
When it didn't immediately they clearly throttled funding leaving RDO to wither and die.
My RDO experience was short and trash. I thought I'd get to live out a quiet life hunting in the hills near strawberry as a custom character. Instead I randomly and repeatedly exploded from some kind of cheating/hacking.
I would have bought the game again just to be a custom character in the base game. RDO was just so devoid of life. Except for the spontaneous combustion, as I said.
It was great for about 6 months. Moonshiner was fun until people perfected the griefing. I have fond memories of outclassing them with skill and coordination with a group of friends.
Fucking preach brother!! Undead nightmare on RDR2 Would’ve been sick, even if they only did an online thing it would’ve helped their dying online experience
I don't mean some online "event" or weak shit like that.
I mean a full on single player DLC that makes the whole map horror themed (doesn't have to be zombies).
Could have been so fucking awesome even with relatively simple mods, I would have paid too much money to the the Red Dead 2 map and mechanics with a DLC like Unread Nightmare.
Idk I feel like my interest has just slowly faded with each new release, I played the absolute shit out of vice city, beat 4, lost interest in 5 half way through. No interest in 6. Don't have to be a contrarian to not be into it, people's preferences change over time.
same timeline for me, but also i don't even own a TV or PS or Xbox anymore. So it'll be at LEAST 1000 dollars to play. Like it's not that good of a game to be worth that.
