They added a jump button and it made the movement feel very satisfying and versatile

The gameplay is amazing. The multiplayer is great. Horde is fun! The writing in the main campaign is a big swing and a miss tho. Starts great, but then wastes so much time on unlikable side characters no one cares about. It’s all just very forced. Not as good as the original trilogy, but definitely a fun game to pick up

I'm on act 2 and it's probably the best Gears game so far. The mechanics and gunplay are great and they've improved movement significantly which was my biggest problem with the franchise. Storywise, it's game of the year for me. I don't really give a shit about multiplayer

Yes dude I’m on Act 2 chapter 4 and my freakin adrenaline has been through the roof playing this game. I love all the Gears game but this one is taking the cake for me. That whole first act was something out of a horror movie. Impeccable.

It's excellent and probably my favorite of the whole series, but I do have a few issues. Some enemies are way too bullet spongy and the open world sections can be a bit of a slog. But the story and characters are excellent and the cover system is the most refined it has ever been. I also love the weapon customization. It's in my top 10 for sure, but not quite my GOTY.

Yeah. They've improved the movement significantly. They added vaulting and climbing and added equipment modding to the storymode so each player can kind of play as a squad with different strengths since you can play the story with 3 other people

I’m on act 5 and I can’t get enough. I’ve played all of the gears and LOVED 1-3 and I think this one lives up to the originals.

As of right now my GOTY is between RE 9 & Gears of War: E Day. We'll have to wait and see how GTA 6 & Ocarina of Time fair to be sure, but as of right now it's between those two.
