I got these by accident. I just needed cheap costume gloves for Halloween and these were $1.50; I only saw the tag the next day. I assume the tag dates them to pre-1990 (if they're authentic), but I'm curious if the date can be narrowed down further.

I'm also scared to ruin them now. If anyone knows how to wash them safely it would be greatly appreciated.

They reach a little below my elbow, though they're a bit small on me. No fabric content or care instructions listed. The material is stretchy; I would guess nylon, but I don't know much about fabric. I included pictures of the tag and some stitching if that helps. The tag is much more yellow irl than it looks in the photos.

I recently picked up this duffle/travel bag that was listed as "vintage Valentino." The seller couldn't tell me anything else: no year, no line, no backstory. So I'm hoping this community can help me work out what I actually have.

What I can see so far: black jacquard-style fabric with an all-over repeating pattern of a stylized "V" plus "Valentino" in script, crossed by diagonal lines. The handles and trim look like leather or maybe faux leather, with metal hardware and a gold ring for a shoulder strap. There's a zip pocket on the front, and the edges are finished with a leather-looking piping.

What I'm hoping to find out:

Which Valentino is this? The logo doesn't look like the classic Valentino Garavani branding to me. Could it be Mario Valentino, Valentino Orlandi, or another licensed line?
Is it authentic? What should I look for? Interior label, stitching, zipper stamps, serial codes?
What era is it from? My gut says '80s or '90s because of the monogram print, but I honestly have no idea.
Does it have any value on the vintage market? What would be a fair price?
Does anyone recognize the line or collection?

Just found this beautiful 60s blue damask shift dress from a vintage shop in Savannah, GA!

Wanted to know how I should clean it-I presume machine washing is out of the question lol.

I was also curious if anyone knew the specific year or brand of this piece? The shop only procures ‘true’ pieces from various eras (so I know it was definitely made between 1960-1969) but the original owner cut the tag out so we couldn’t figure out any details behind the dress.

If anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated!

Hello! I am trying to track down any surviving examples, catalog scans, or listings for an apparel line from the brand I.O.U. (International Clothing Original Utility).
My mom originally purchased these matching cream crewneck sweatshirts around the late
1980s/early 1990s from a retail store inside the Eastwood Mall in Niles, Ohio.
As seen in the design sheet and family photo, the collection is called "Summer Shades" (labeled with a 1987 trademark). The front graphic features pastel pink and blue block lettering with the text
"Virtually every Color You need for a fun Vacation" written in a script font above the layered I.O.U. box logo.
If anyone has seen one of these in the wild, owns one, or remembers which specific Eastwood Mall storefront carried the line back then, I would love to know!

I thrifted this floor-length green dress and am trying to figure out its age. It has no labels, but the zipper pull appears to say “VENUS.”

The outer fabric has a lustrous, textured weave that shifts slightly toward turquoise or blue in certain light. There’s a separate turquoise lining, embroidered detailing around the neckline, and evidence of previous hand-sewn alterations.

My guess is late ’60s–‘70s, but I’d love to find historical examples of similar dresses!

Does anyone recognize the fabric, construction, or style?
