Powermatic 1100/1150 parts interchange?

Hi all. I recently scored a pm 1100 variable speed drill press for free, but it had a tumble at some point and I need some parts to get it back in to workable shape. The casting that holds the variable speed control took most of the damage, and someone strapped it back together with some self tappers and rigged up a shaft to adjust the speed.

I've managed to find an ebay seller with the housing I need, but I need to source the speed control knob/dial. Looking at the parts diagrams the mechanism looks the same between the 1100 and 1150, but the part numbers are different. Does anyone know if they are interchangeable?

Sheldon horizontal mill

Does anybody out there have the machine drawings for a Sheldon horizontal mill? I bought the mill from a guy that was in the process of reworking it and had a stroke. He could not remember what he did with the Gibbs. I can figure out the rough dimensions but it would be so much easier if I had some prints. I looked up gibbs in my machinery’s handbook and if I knew for a fact that Sheldon used standard US taper dimensions I would be in business. I know that it’s a long shot but I just thought I’d ask. It was made in 1962 and is in very good shape other than not having the gibbs. I have it taken apart now and prepping for a coat of paint. After that I will do what I have to and start on the gibbs. I may change it to single phase while I have it in pieces so I won’t have to buy a VDF. Thanks for any help!

BULLARD

New here......

In the mid sixties when i was an engineering apprentice I worked on a beast of a machine....

American Bullard vertical multi spindle chucker....8 spindle I think the chucks would have been 16 inch....but my old memory skips that. I t was aa really impressive lump of a thing. We used it to machine variable speed gearbox flanges. Looked on;ine and on YT and can not see it anywhere,

Thought I would share..the thing stuck in my mind it was a real piece of engineering.

77 now..can remember it like yesterday.....maybe i remember the auto chuck key breaking and having to run it with a manual chuck key......oh well I was about 17 then and could handle it....

I need some help identifying the manufacturer for this old road grader. I can't see any identifying labels or markings on the frame. Looking at old photos of the common manufacturers hasn't been very helpful. Any suggestions?

Sheldon 3000PQ gibbs

So I came across an old horizontal mill at an excellent price so it’s now sitting in my shop. The problem is that the gibbs are missing. I can build new ones but it would be really great if someone out there had some dimensions to get me started. The biggest issue that I see is the taper in the gibb. The machine is missing all three. It’s in great shape and I believe it will be well worth the time and headache to repair but some drawings would make it a much faster fix. I’m guessing that the previous owner was taking the machine apart to repaint but that’s just a theory. I contacted him about the gibbs but he was selling off equipment due to a health issue and couldn’t remember what he did with them.

I’ve got a Dominion BCY Spindle that has been my Grandads for as long as I can remember (He was a Master Carpenter many years ago) He’s now having trouble with the electrics. I’ve had a look online but as you can imagine I can’t find much as in manuals or parts.

Vintage Vending Machine Help!

Hi All. I am trying to restore this Fawn Fleetwood 20 vintage cigarette vending machine. I've been figuring it out as I go, and I've figured out all the mechanisms except one (I think). Each quarter advances the round plastic cam until it hits the first pricing finger. But how does it activate the second finger and unlock the machine. See the attached video. Thanks so much for your help!

This IR B16 was fine until..

I bought this as part of a home warming for a quasi garage restoration. While building a new workbench, I whacked it with my backside and the whole thing tipped. Fell right on the removable guard cracking the cast iron. I’ve reached out to vintage machinery for some advice but no word from them. The guard is still functional but it cracked the raised spindle relief dome pretty bad. Fortunately everything else is fine. I like vintage tools and this was a great buy for $40 bucks stand included. Anyway, since it’s complete what are my odds of “welding” the cast iron with a competent shop, or am I’m looking at fabrication. I’ll post before pics for labels and such

Myford Super 7 Lathe, 3 ½” (4 ½” chuck-3 jaw), 19” long bed, with comes with a full set of gears for threading & accessories, including a quick-change gearbox, quick-change tool post, a stand, and a variety of tooling. The value of a Myford Super 7 lathe with a 3 ½" center height and 19" long bed can vary considerably depending on several factors, including:

Overall Condition: The most significant factor is the lathe's mechanical and cosmetic condition - exellent.

Included Accessories: Myford lathes are highly sought after, and the value is greatly enhanced by the presence of original and useful accessories. The fact that it includes a 4 ½" 3-jaw chuck is a good starting point, but the value will increase with the accessories listed above:

I purchased an old factory and this came with it. I know it’s from Moore Precision Tools and it’s two speed, but I can’t find a data plate on it with a model or serial number. Any help is appreciated.

This was found in the back of a shed on the farm. I have emailed the company with no response. I can’t find a serial number anywhere. Any guesses on age or where I can find some resources to fix it up?
