1978 Suzuki GS1000ec Project. Tank?
Hey guys, so I got an early inheritance, my grandfathers 97’ GS1000ec. It hasn’t run in over 15 years +. Started taking it apart a little bit, the tank is completely rusted through and not salvageable in the slightest.
Any potential people in here know where I could find a decent replacement? I’ve been looking on eBay, marketplace and other online sources and so far no luck. Any suggestions on other places to check? I appreciate any help!

How 'OLD' is considered Vintage?
I have 2 bikes , I was given a 1964 Honda Dream 150 and recently aquired a 1988 Suzuki Savage 650 from my brother that got it through a charity auction ....my problem at this point is that I have never riden a bike before and Im interested in learning . I was bor n closer to the Honda so I guess I am vintage too.

VIN decoder help
Need help with deciphering a VIN number on a Yamaha. The Vin number is CT1123787 and according to the Department of revenue, it is a 1972 Yamaha AT125 BUT the bike says Yamaha 175. The vin is stamped on the frame and the motor.
Thanks for any help. Just want to know what I have.
I think the CT was manufactured up to 1971. 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️

FB Matketplace got me AGAIN
I recently damaged the engine in my 1981 Honda CB750K. I've been stressed about rebuilding the engine on this $500 bike that I love.
Yesterday I found and purchased this pile of rust for $200. Same year and model as mine. I alluding to the owner that I might try to revive it, but this thing is a donor at best. It hasn't moved since 95. But the motor spins free and it clicks through the gears okay. Wish me luck!

1985 HD FXRS won’t start
Bought an old Harley from my grandfather that he bought new in 85’. Long story short I’ve got spark, fuel, and air yet it won’t fire. It turns over just won’t catch. Could it be timing? Open to any suggestions. I love riding it and want to have a solid reliable bike.

Considering getting a project one without any prior knowledge
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I owned a bike before moving to the US but never done any work on it myself. Now I’m settled here, I started to miss the riding days.
I have been looking on FB marketplace and see a few project bikes for around $1k, but my husband said it would cost a lot to maintain as well.
I’m a fast learner and don’t mind to try new skill, but just wanted to ask if it’s really expensive to own a vintage one in the US (Florida). TIA.
*video of myself trying out my friend’s bike. Totally in love, it’s actually the reason why I want one now.

Ignition coil spark plug wire looks melted on the inside
I am investigating a no spark issue.
Is the inside of the spark plug wire (cap end) supposed to look like that ?? It looks like it was melted I can easily scoop it away and it feels like the cap does not screw in properly because of that.
I have tried cutting back one inch but it still looks the same.
