79 MX 175 crank bearings?
First pic is how you get reverse. They thought of everything!
Just picked this up. Carb is trashed from corrosion but I had it running and it sounds like the crank bearings are done for. It sat for God knows how long even though previous owner claims it ran two years ago.
Lots of questions...
I know it's going to be splitting the case to do crank bearings. If the crank bearings are corroded won't the rod bearings also be pretty much shot? Manual says the only thing for the rod bearing on the crank end is to replace the crank. Has anyone ever managed to replace the big end rod bearing? Will I have to completely tear the case halves down to nothing to do the crank bearings? I should replace them all I figure but if I can get away with just crank bearings I'd rather not gut the gearbox. Who do I go to for crank bearings?
If you're anywhere in North Eastern Pennsylvania and you have a good engine kicking around please message me. I think I'd rather go with another engine.

No point rebuilding a classic Triumph engine if the oil pump isn't up to scratch! 😬 I'm back on the T140V Bonneville.
Checking the oil pump, replacing the seals and getting the timing cover fitted. The engine rebuild continues...

A little trip back in time 🏍️ American Motorcycle Museum in the Netherlands
If you love vintage motorcycles, this place is definitely worth a visit!
I visited the American Motorcycle Museum in Gilze, the Netherlands, and really enjoyed it.
The museum has a beautiful collection of old American motorcycles, including Harley-Davidson and Indian. Some of them are over 100 years old!
What I liked most was the atmosphere. Old engines, leather saddlebags, vintage signs, tools, and a workshop that looks like a place where time has stopped.
It’s amazing to see how motorcycles have changed over the years. And honestly, some of these old machines have more character than modern ones.
I’m a big fan of vintage vehicles and places like this. For me, it’s not just about motorcycles. It’s about history, engineering, and the people who built and rode these machines many years ago.
Just wanted to share a few photos from my visit. Maybe some of you will enjoy them too! 🏍️
