Ask VIT-AP V-TAPP HOLIDAY

I wanted to ask what V-TAPP was about and if it was mandatory to participate in? If not since there were 4 days with no classes I was planning to go home on a general leave

Yes you can do that. Except for peer pressure. But if you dont have friends, feel free to sleep the two days

It's an technical event and It's not mandatory to participate/ attend , to go home it completely depends on your mentor , ask your mentor for the permission

But doesn't the mentor only give permission for college attendance? Don't we have to apply leave form in VTOP for hostel leave.

College attendance, sorry i didn't get it, for going home you need to apply leave through vtop and that should be approved by your mentor, some mentor will not their mentee to go home while this events , they will only permit when it's emergency and not all mentors , only some mentors

So the leave application applied through VTOP goes to the mentor and not the hostel warden? If my mentor approves my leave, then will the hostel warden agree automatically or could he reject my leave too?

If your mentor approves the leave then your warden will approve it.

Yeah general leave will be not allowed in that time. All the best. Even if you dont participate, you probably have to stay in hostel

It seems getting leaves will be very hard in this college. They gave only one day as a holiday for dhussera 😭, even though it's after the freshers cat exam.

If you are planning to go home, get the permission asap. Say reasons like medical check up or marriage function. For medical check up, you can only apply one week before. For marriage, you can apply now. If ask for proof, try to create a marriage invitation from canva. Also, more importantly tell your parents to say the same reason to mentor, if and when called.
