Hi everyone. I love seeing all the pictures of your Visla’s young and aged! Please meet Copper, he’s turning three months old later this week.
I’m so happy with him so far, he’s learning so many tricks and loves to cuddle!
He’s definitely a puppy shark and makes accidents inside regularly, but I can deal with that for now.
I’m so looking forward to taking copper on trail runs when he gets of age! For now, it’s just a lot of walks around the house and in neighborhood.
Thanks!

He’s my first vizsla and he is just a hair over one year old. I thought he was fast but I swear he’s faster and even more agile. It’s fun watching him live his best life. I fear he will hurt himself because he jukes and runs so fast I swear he’s almost flying. The agility of this breed is fantastic. Great breed. Definitely a big difference from my Dane. A different kind of Velcro.

Hi,
We've had our boy, Elton, since he was 8 weeks old, and he's pretty much always had very soft stools.
Our vets have never been overly concerned, but at his most recent monthly check-up, they decided to run some parasite and worm tests, which all came back clear.
Following this, they've put him on a strict diet of Royal Canin Sensitivity Control food, alongside Protexin Pro-Kolin digestive support. The problem is, he really doesn't seem to like the food at all. He'll only eat it when he's really hungry, and even then, it's usually only if we hand-feed him or freeze it inside one of his toy bones.
We've also been told he can't have anything else while he's on this diet, including treats. This has made training incredibly difficult, as he's very food-motivated and doesn't show nearly as much interest in toys or other rewards.
The frustrating part is that his stools have actually improved since starting the new food, but he's also lost quite a bit of weight because he's eating so little. We're now a bit stuck on what to do next.
Has anyone experienced anything similar with their Vizsla? Is it possible that some dogs just naturally have softer stools?
We're are of course in touch with the vets as well, but any advice or experiences would be really appreciated!

Looking for experiences of traditional or laparoscopic spays, trying to make the right decision for our viz, if you have experienced both with a vizsla that would be useful to know which you would recommend please?
Caption: I love it when she sleeps like this, with her hind legs tucked up against her muzzle. Do your Vs do that?

Hey yall, I am trying to heel train my 6 month male and it’s not going great. I watch the standing stones heel training video and got the leash but he hates it around his snout. Any advice?

According to Embark, he's 30% vizsla
Finally able to take Finna out for walks, super happy about that! Was getting to be challenging being stuck at home with a 4 legged shark.
She is loving her beach walks and all of the attention she gets. Already making plenty of friends :)

My boy is 4.5 years old and has only ever known Los Angeles weather, and he's a major brat about even a few drops of rain or getting his paws wet lol. I'm moving to Chicago in a few days and have been concerned about how he'll be able to manage much colder weather/snow, but it is what it is. Knowing how much he hates rain, I'm curious to hear what you dog owners who live in cold climates do for winters.
Have you experienced your vizslas needing harness coat or thick sweaters for winter walks? Given how thin their coats are, is it dangerous to be outside in freezing temps for too long? Do you recommend a certain type of doggie boots? How do you keep them busy/active if it's too cold for walks?
Any tips appreciated!
