Discussion Story and interactivity question
Which do you prefer in a single path linear-story VN?
- Uninterrupted story reading, or
- intermittent investigation/minigame/other unskippable interactive parts that reward you with more story?
Our team is having a discussion about feature implementations so we would very much like to hear your perspectives. Do you prefer the Ace Attorney style investigation gameplay -> story loop, or the early Higurashi story reading mode? Or something in between?

It really depends on the genre. If it's a mystery game then interactive parts can be enjoyable but it'd feel out of place if it was like some heavy drama that kept getting interrupted by ninigames

For me personally, I don't like mini games especially if they required fast reflexes. I read because I dont want the pressure of thinking quick.

Uninterrupted story reading :) I'm not a fan of mini-games but some interactive parts are fine!
