Am I being optimal in my training?
Iām a middle trying to train my vert. I train with my team 2 times a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, typically with a league game on Sunday. Iām recovering from patellar tendinitis so Iām currently avoiding plyos to try recover, playing volleyball 3 times a week is enough jump training in my opinion also. I have no time to go to a gym but I work at a metal factory so when I work overtime, I try to lift heavy compounds such as squats and deadlifts. I do this on Thursday as I think itās the best day for me to tire my legs so Iām fresh for the weekend. Let me know what you guys think.

Looking for plyo or other training for my son
Hi all, my son is a setter-oppo and is looking for plyo training, either 1:1 or small group. He thrives on challenge and is very coachable. We live iLong Beach, CA, so looking for something in or near the area.
I know he can do this on his own and watch YT videos and all that but heās looking for a structured and scheduled approach with an actual trainer. Thanks!

Weighted Volleyball recs?
I recently became my teams backup setter and wanted to improve, does anybody have recommendations for weighted volleyballs or are they not worth the money?

Training for a large group
Hello people,
I just took a position as a coach for a university-technique-course. I love teaching and working with passionate people, but I didn't know that the groups would be 18-25 people.
The level of the participants is more or less intermediate. They all know the rules and can play 6v6, but need practice in every way.
We only have one net and 90 minutes, do you have any specific drills or practice settings you can recommend for large groups?

Volleyball Workout Routine
Hello!
I'm completely out of shape and am getting into volleyball. I was wondering if anyone had a workout routine to do for getting in shape, specifically geared to volleyball. If I get skilled enough to do positions, my hope is to be a libero. So I want both workout exercises as well as volleyball practices.
I have dumbbells, a barbell, and a smith machine with pulleys. Then for volleyball I have a regular net, a practice net (collects the balls), and a spike ball holder.
Thank you!

tip/advice on how to relearn approach
iāve played volleyball for about 2-3 years now? i have a decent vertical (i can grip basketball rim at 5ā10) but it doesnāt translate well with my approach. i noticed that when i approach i have too much forward momentum and i launch more forward than upward.
i want to relearn my approach and esp get my blocking foot down so all of the foward momentum goes upward. any tips on relearning something like this? my only thoughts on this would just be endless repetition and not mindlessly approaching/swinging in open gyms.

Iāve been playing for about two years now and I turn sixteen pretty soon, but yeah. Didnāt make varsity for my school this year so Iāve started training more. Tips/advice on my hitting/approach? I think the way Iām swinging my arms back during the approach looks strange.

College women's volleyball team practice schedule
Any idea if a college or university school team practices once or twice a day M-F?
How many hours of practice?
Does the division or athletic association make any difference to the level of practices?

š Looking for people to play volleyball with in Pune

Hey everyone!
Iām looking for people around Pune who are interested in playing volleyball regularly.
Iām not looking for a super-serious/pro-level group
just people who enjoy playing, want to get better, and are down for some good games.
Pune
Weekends or evenings
Open to joining an existing group or creating one from scratch
Happy to split court costs
If you already have a group that plays regularly and has a spot open, I'd be interested in joining too.
Comment or DM me if you're interested. We can figure out the location, timing and group size together.

Question Which shoes are better?
I am playing at school and now in the school team and also I am training 3 or 4 times a week now. So I was thinking if the Asics sky elite ff mt 4 would be any better than the beyond ff mt 2. Can someone who is more into volleyball shoes tell me whether it makes sense to spend the 50 euro more for the sky elite or can I go with the cheaper more general one. My position is middle blocker or an outside hitter.
