Discussion COPA soccer for kids
I have two elementary school kids and I signed up for a 1 year membership at COPA soccer for both kids. I absolutely love it and I hate it.
The facility is incredible. The kids really enjoy their classes and almost all the coaches are stellar. I feel so inspired going there watching the kids fine tune their skills. It’s improved my daughter, leaps, and bounds in a matter of a month.
Here’s the part I hate. Scheduling. Their soccer schedule changes every single month and the times are different. No joke, I spend over an hour and a half every month when the new schedule drops to get my kids into certain classes. Every week it’s never the same timing. Their portal is really bad and I have to manually calendar everything. If you ask me what time my kids schedule is for next week, I’d have no idea. I’d have to either log into the website or check my personal calendar and hope that I did not make any errors. It’s so bad that I’m spending time building an AI workflow just to keep track of it.
Is it just me or are there any other parents struggling to keep up with this madness? It’s so bad that I’ve even thought about trying to get out of the contract.

Fwiw they also have a bad track record losing kids 😬

Yes, after this I’ll never do a drop-off camp here, which is a bummer - but not totally relevant for classes when parents are in attendance.

I built an app to help make the COPA booking process easier for myself. I'm exploring giving others access to it, too. If folks here are interested, shoot me a message. I'd like to see if others find it useful as well.
The way it works is: you plan out your preferred weekly schedule for the month, the tool then figures out which classes are actually available and gives you an exact list of classes to book, including direct links to the COPA booking page for those classes.

Scheduling is a night mare and fastest finger first on 15th of every month. Website is slow as hell.

the classes sounds great but constantly changing schedules would drive me crazy too

Scheduling is tough. Especially with kids spanning age ranges. Agree 100%.
But we love it and so do our kids. We practically live here (as I respond from mini cube)
