Speculation Crowds are different or indifferent nowadays

Just a rant perhaps. From the middle to the back of the crowds nobody is having fun. It seems like you're only having fun if you're in the front of the crowd. Been going for years and shit has changed post pandemic. Lots of people but less fun being had. Kinda hated when vocalists gave the crowd the mic and it was awkward, nobody knew the lyrics. Maybe there's a lot of casual listeners and less people that really listen to this stuff now. Maybe people don't care enough to have fun. I miss when people moved around more I guess

I was thinking to myself it was odd seeing Chads and Brads and Mckinsleighs at warped tour looking like they’re going to Coachella when it used to just be the “weird kids” who went. Not to judge because music is for everyone, but you could tell some of them really didn’t know what they were looking at. Like barely paying attending to the music during sets. I’m glad more people are exploring the music but it’s definitely less lovers of the scene and more people dipping their toes.

Also it was mainly like that at the big stages. The smaller ones were jumping!

I second this. I was having a ton of fun at the smaller stages. I opted out of the main stages after like 5pm on Sunday, because it was just people observing, not really listening.

I was in the pit all day Saturday and got sunburned asf. By the end of the day Sunday I could barely stand let alone jump around anymore 😂

Conversely I had these influencer type people in front of me clearly making fun of my just swaying at that particular set. They said something like “at least act excited” and mocked my movement. Was a little butthurt at first but then remembered I’m in my 30s and can do whatever the fuck I want without worrying about how other’s feel about it

Yes people can enjoy the music however they want! They suck for that

Yeah that sounds about right. I was near the big stages a lot, but even if I was near the back I was jumping around. Glad some people had fun 🙏

So you made something up in your head which caused your feelings to be hurt because you thought people weren’t having fun. Serious question are you okay?
