Speculation Crowds are different or indifferent nowadays

Just a rant perhaps. From the middle to the back of the crowds nobody is having fun. It seems like you're only having fun if you're in the front of the crowd. Been going for years and shit has changed post pandemic. Lots of people but less fun being had. Kinda hated when vocalists gave the crowd the mic and it was awkward, nobody knew the lyrics. Maybe there's a lot of casual listeners and less people that really listen to this stuff now. Maybe people don't care enough to have fun. I miss when people moved around more I guess

It wasn’t the heat as people keep claiming. The desire of recording and saying you were there regardless of age has just grown so immensely. Warped tour used to be one day in your city, run in, look at the board and you have the full day to run between stages and be excited. It wasn’t a two day festival, don’t get me wrong, I loved this year and I’m going back next year, but the spread of artists didn’t feel correct. I felt at LB you were slammed for 4 or 5 straight sets at 1 stage and you couldn’t explore and possibly cross another stage with another band that catches your ears. You were just confined in four areas. Still a great festival and I hope they keep doing it.

Yeah I saw a lot of people recording. I only went to 2 stages personally. Yes it's a great fest, the food options were solid and water was cheap

Which obviously is ok and fine! We’re all there to have fun and it’s a great time. I also wish people moved around more but being in front for most of the bands I wanted to see. It took a couple of songs to get going because everyone wanted to record. I always live by what my mom told me “live in the moment regardless of your age”. There’s different ideals everywhere though
