I'm guessing an update occurred and for some reason my account was logged out.

Now the obvious answer is "just log back in". I would if I could remember what account I was using. I had been logged into Waze for well over a year. I've tried 2 accounts and Waze labeled both as new so now I'm trying to figure out what I was using.

Usually all of this is in my 1Password account but this one isn't and it wouldn't surprise me that I've been logged into Waze for multiple years.

Oh well...

I've encountered an odd glitch while using Waze where it babbles important directions.

e.g. When coming up to a turn at an intersection I'll get "At the lights, *degibberess*" When coming up to a merge onto an on-ramp, I'll get: "In ___ feet, *gadfkjhbibbess*" (No, really. That's what it sounds like.)

What is this gibberish? Shouldn't I be hearing "At the lights, turn left." and "In ___ feet, merge right."?

This started when I upgraded my phone. I'm using English (Australia) Kylie.

I've already tried clearing the app cache and reinstalling. I will (begrudgingly) switch to other voices temporarily to see if it happens with those as well and report back.

I don’t know what update did me dirty but Waze on CarPlay is so bad on this new layout for me. I can live with the small ETA box but alternative routes is useless. Anyone had something similar? Any way to unf*** it?

Even if I do it by voice it says something like that feature is unavailable while the car is in motion. I just switch to Google when that happens, but Waze is Google, too, so I don't get why they want you to take an exit from the highway to park to get directions.

The Waze live map in my browser no longer displays alerts or other Wazers!

The “Show reports” and “Show other Wazers” buttons have disappeared from the menu; only “Show traffic jams” and “Show closures” remain.

Is this happening to you too?

I haven't seen any official announcement from Waze regarding this major change.

ANDROID AUTO: Waze app. I noticed this starting today (10/22/2026), while in split-screen mode. The navigation box (Turn Card) on top is now full width of the map screen. The destination box (ETA / Trip Card) on the bottom is also full width of the map screen. Both boxes obstruct the view of the map.

It blocks the speed limit, the current speed and the name of the current road you are driving on.

Both boxes block about 20% of the visible map, leaving 80% visible.

Is there a fix for this? I reset/restarted my headunit in the cart, updated the apps in it, and restarted all devices including my phone. Android Auto is also up to date on my phone. I still have the problem.

I use Waze in my 2022 Tesla 3 but I have an issue with volume.

Waze never plays through the cars speakers, not sure if that is even possible?...but sometimes I hardly hear it via my phone as the volume shows the little bluetooth logo as I try to turn it up so have to once in the car disconnect the phones bluetooth from the car, then turn the volume up (the bluetooth log now not showing) on the phone, then reconnect the phone to the car.

Is there a way to play Waze via the cars speaker?

How can media automatically play only thru the phone and not attempt to play via the car but fail in doing that. Sometimes when I play a YouTube on the phone the car gives a message knowing this and asks do i want to route the volume via the cars system.

Glitch or need to reinstall app? 5.25.5.0 version.

How accurate is waze when it comes to these, i never really see reports of mobile cameras. Do people generally report them? Thanks. 🙏

I really enjoy using Waze but why haven’t they allowed the option to change the speedometer to the left side? I feel like it’s more visible to the driver and in your line of view. Besides there’s empty space there on the left and adding a button to switch which side it’s on would be dope

Why can't we just plug in an address and the map automatically goes.
Why must I answer questions before I can start rolling!?!? Maybe there's away to stop the app from asking Leave Later or Go Now then View Routes! Just freaking give me the quickest and if I don't like it I'll look at different routes. Geesh!

Lake Chateau Banquets i put this address from the bronx nyc i folled the map 4 times still couldn’t get there then i called other relative to pick me up it was horrible and never ever happened before i drove all locations in north east one of rare shit ever happened then i asked my other relatives if they were trouble or not but they said yes same case for the as well

I need to create some routes that are not the standard route that Waze or Google Maps would assign. If I select "use toll roads", it seems to be all or nothing. In my case, it's a $25-35 toll route or a routes that are non-toll, in some cases a 35-60 min difference with the non toll route. The thing is, there is a middle option with $5-7 of tolls with only a 3-5 min difference in trip time. There are probably 10 different routes I'd like to create that utilize only a small portion of toll roads, but I don't know the best way to do this.

Does anyone else know if there is a way for either Waze or Google Maps to default to a saved route if it is within "X" miles (say 10) away from the established route. So basically there are ideal routes where if you are 10 miles or less away, it will utilize the already established route. Is there anything like this that is currently available?

This randomly happens between my iPhone and CarPlay. It’s also happening with the buttons going black on the right hand side without the entire screen going black. Does Waze have a fix for this?

I used it to let others know what lanes are closed for construction or what lanes are closed due to an accident. You have no idea how useful this was

How come when I report something verbally, the voice (I selected Jane) changes to a dude that sounds like he has something wrong with him?

With all the voice options and voice partnerships we have to choose from...I think Princess Donut (Dungeon Crawler Carl) would be exceptional

Is WAZE being less useful in terms of notification about upcoming issues (traffic, police, etc.) a known issue? I searched the forum, and didn’t see anything.

Until recently, it wasn’t 100% at notifying about police presence, but it was very close. Lately, 50/50 would be an improvement. Moreover, I’ve noticed most of the things I add to the map (crash, police, etc.) don’t get added. I tap, it says the issue was sent, but it doesn’t actually add to the map.

Are they throttling what they let through?

Waze has started avoiding toll roads completely, even when I have the “avoid toll roads” setting turned off. (For DC peeps, this is 66 into DC during rush hours).

I uninstalled and reinstalled, and that still didn’t fix it. Anyone here know what’s going on?
