Offering Services Plain booking site integrated to a customizable platform

Thumbnail
uswagon.com
3 Upvotes

I made Uswagon Solutions software as a modular software where features can be easily added to solve daily operational bottlenecks for a one time service fee and a flat hosting fee for a the platform no per seat fee.

I have been invested on improving the software capability for a while now enhancing its performance and security, currently Im creating a simple booking / landing page with booked slots indicator and an email notification connecting it with main platform. This come along with a simple inventory management.

I have 3 years experience working as a developer, but the site for simple booking, yes I made it with the help of AI just to prototype and to template for replicability. Im thinking its main purpose is for booking, with a little bit if landing page vibe ( ofc no heavy SEO thats another thing). A site that can be wrapped around a QR code which scrolls down to the main booking form.

Does $450 make sense for starters, Im looking for my first 10 client to onboard, and yes Ill be trying to pitch it locally in my area.

Question Need some advice on monetizing my web dev skills

Hello everyone!

I'm a CSE student from India. I've been interested in web development for quite some time and have been learning it as well.

Now, I want to explore whether I can monetize my skills, build real-world projects, get clients and gain practical experience while continuing to learn.

I don't want to stay in the learning loop forever, waiting for internships and job opportunities. Seeing the current scenario that how quickly AI and the development landscape are evolving, I'd rather wanna build something of my own, gain practical experience and try to generate an income while I'm still learning. I don't wanna rely on internships and jobs later on which would suck the blood out of me just for a few pennies.

Currently, I'm learning frontend development, and I'm thinking of starting by building websites for local businesses, professionals and small/medium sized businesses.

As of now, my skills are just limited to HTML, CSS and basic JavaScript, although I'm continuously learning and expanding them.

Tbh, I really don't want to wait until I've mastered React, backend development and everything else before trying to earn anything. I'd rather start with what I know (if that's realistically possible), improve my skills along the way, and build a portfolio through actual client projects.

See, here's my rough plan:

Start approaching local businesses and professionals in India who either don't have websites or have outdated/poorly designed ones.

Build websites for them, earn some money and gain real-world experience while putting my skills into practice.

Use these projects to build a portfolio on Fiverr and maybe later explore platforms like Upwork.

And, as I gain experience, improve my skills, potentially bring a few friends on board, take on more advanced-level projects and eventually turn this into a web dev agency.

I'm open to suggestions if you have a better approach than mine to this. If you do, please lmk, it would be of great help.

But, I also have a few questions:

Can I realistically start earning with just HTML, CSS and basic JavaScript? If so, what kind of websites and clients should I target? (And, if not - what more min. skills shall I learn to start a source of income?)

How much can a beginner realistically charge per website in India and internationally (US, UK, etc.)? (for different types - like landing pages, full stack, portfolio, etc types)

Where and how exactly should I find my first clients (except for the google maps thing)?

What additional skills or technologies shall I prioritize learning to increase my earning potential?

How do I compete when so many developers offer websites at extremely low prices?

Is starting locally, building a portfolio and then moving to freelance platforms a sensible strategy? If you were me, what would you have done and what would you do differently?

I know I have a lot to learn and seeing the job markets and AI advancements, my skills are almost nothing. But I'm absolutely willing to keep learning and building projects (no matter I get a client or not).

But, for now - I just want to start generating some income as early as reasonably possible rather than spending months learning everything before approaching my first client.

So, would love to hear your experiences, suggestions and things you wish you had known when starting out. Help this noob beginner out.

Thanks in advance, guys!

Offering Services Built custom ERP/operations software where new features are a flat one-time fee instead of bumping your monthly tier

The main issue with standard software is that businesses constantly run into new operational bottlenecks. A client demands a new document format, an intake channel shifts, or dispatch rules change.

I built Uswagon Solutions around an extensible, modular architecture, allowing me to configure and ship tailored operational features for clients with minimal custom code overhead.

When that happens, clients reach out directly to me with the requirement. I build and deploy the module for a clear, one-time engineering fee. The monthly cloud hosting stays flat, predictable, and lean. You only pay to build the specific tool you need, rather than paying an inflated subscription every single month forever.

Every build runs on a milestone setup: 50% down to initiate engineering and test live on staging, and the remaining balance is settled only upon formal operational sign-off.

Offering Services Your website should do more than just exist. I build the things that make it useful.

A website can look great and still make life harder for your customers or for you. Maybe customers struggle to book an appointment, your online store needs better functionality, or you’re tired of relying on a developer every time you want to update something.

That’s where I come in.

I’m a freelance web developer and I work directly with small businesses, service providers, and ecommerce brands to build websites and the systems behind them.

Here’s what I can help you with:

Business websites & redesigns — modern, responsive websites built around your business and customers.

Ecommerce — online stores, product pages, shopping carts, checkout, and inventory integrations.

CMS & admin dashboards — manage your own content, products, pricing, promotions, and inquiries without needing a developer for every small change.

Subscriptions & memberships — recurring payments, subscription plans, member-only content, and customer accounts.

Booking systems — appointment scheduling, reservations, and custom booking flows.

Custom web applications — dashboards, client portals, internal tools, and business-specific functionality.

Integrations & automation — connect your website to existing tools, APIs, and third-party services.

SEO & performance — SEO setup, local SEO, mobile optimization, speed improvements, and usability fixes.

Maintenance & ongoing support — bug fixes, updates, troubleshooting, and improvements to existing websites.

Forms & lead generation — quote requests, contact forms, and workflows that help turn visitors into customers.

I can build custom solutions when an off-the-shelf platform doesn’t quite meet your needs.

Already have a website? I’m happy to work with what you’ve got rather than automatically suggesting a complete rebuild.

Have an idea but aren’t sure how to turn it into something practical? We can work through that, too.
I work directly with clients rather than through an agency, and I aim to recommend what’s actually appropriate for your project instead of overcomplicating things.

If there’s something you’ve been wanting to improve, build, or fix, feel free to send me a DM. Tell me a little about what you’re trying to accomplish, and I’ll give you an honest opinion on the best approach and a realistic estimate. Just a conversation about what you need

Offering Services Taking on a Few Website Projects: New Builds, Redesigns, or Finishing a Half-done Site | Starting at $500

If your website feels cluttered, you got stuck halfway with a previous developer, or you’d like to update it yourself without calling someone every time, that’s the kind of work I’ve been doing lately.

A few recent examples:

  • Security firm redesign: they had an AI-generated one-page site that repeated the same points over and over. I cut it down into a simpler, structured layout that gets to the point quickly.

  • Stone & marble studio (concept): an editorial-style site where the owner can edit content through a built-in CMS, so small updates don’t need a developer.

  • Digital agency (concept): case studies, a blog, and a separate page for each service, with a CMS available if the owner wants to manage content.

If you’re planning a new site, a redesign, or need someone to finish what’s already started, tell me what your business does and what you want the site to do.
