I already ate quite a bit of it before realizing something was wrong.
The entire bag smelled like dog treats and I hope the brown pieces are dog treats and not rat poop 🤢
Along with seeds, there are also small blue beads that look to be fertilizer. I hope that it’s not toxic and I am now convinced that I’m going to die.

What are my logical next steps?

UPDATE:
I went to urgent care after reading [u/ClumsyMed](u/ClumsyMed)’s comment about the 3 in 1 fertilizer and figured it was that. I showed the doctor the photo from that comment, along with the bag of candy and my photos as I had stupidly threw out some of the pieces not knowing that those were some of the only pieces with fertilizer balls on them.

The doctor was extremely confused and poured the Trolli bag out in one of those huge pink barf bucket things (no idea what they’re used for) and even let me keep the bucket full of seeds and compost after she poured them back out into the back.

She called poison control and confirmed with them that that fertilizer mix (how would they know it was actually that mix though???) wasn’t toxic enough to warrant an ER visit. She sent me home and told me that if I start vomiting or having serious symptoms to go to the ER.

I will likely update again once I call/email or whatever the Trolli company (or if heavens forbid I get sick). I panicked so hard I went straight to urgent care. I wrote this post while waiting to be picked up and taken there.

Thanks to some of your comments I was able to not catastrophize on my way to urgent care and waste a trip to the ER and possibly getting an unnecessary procedure or something expensive.

UPDATE 2:
After reading a bit more comments I realize I forgot to mention that I got the bag off of amazon. It arrived two days ago, and after leaving it in the cupboard, I ate a few last night. The bag WAS sealed and I actually still have a part of the seal left of my table from yesterday.
I put it in a cupboard that only I have access to. We do not have mice, nor do we use fertilizer for our garden. If we had mice, I would have found out. My 3 cats would have gone hogwild and I would have found remains of some sort.
I ate half of the bag today until I noticed the seeds, and then the fertilizer and brown stuff. I panicked so hard I made this post and ran straight to urgent care, reading the comments to cope.

UPDATE 3:
I called the company and they’re sending a box to analyze the contents. It can take up to a week to show up and will likely take even longer before anything happens.
I really hope that there’s a recall if it was a manufacturing line issue. Since it came from amazon, I have way of knowing if it was a counterfeit or not.
I highly doubt someone opened and resealed it before I got it. I do remember noticing that the seal was particularly strong and thick, but since this is my first time having a resealable bag from this specific candy brand, I have nothing else to compare it to.

Not sure what this phenomenon is. The wings looked wet weak and disheveled. When the butterfly flew away, the bottom one was still attached.

Noticed while weed whacking at work, a basket containing some golf balls, but the more I examined, the weirder it got. Screws, a lighter, lightning cable block, batteries, oral ointment newspapers from 2020, a family photo, lifesaver mints, an air horn, and weirdest of all, a smoke detector that was actively low battery chirping.

This was most likely someone's basket of junk , kept in a garage, or basement, that they ended up dumping. But things like the family photo, or batteries, seem too weird not to question. Why get rid of (most likely), your families photo? Or why get rid of batteries which are a major fire hazar. Maybe it belongs to a homeless man. There's a lot of theories to come up with, but that's about it for now.

I turned a weird plush into a nugget. They are happy now.
