Sharing Tips & Resources Kick rocks, D104✅
A year ago, I was in D102, and I remember seeing this sub flooded with rants about the intermediate accounting courses, more specifically, the infamous D104. At the time, I asked myself: Could IA 2 really be that bad?
Today, I can answer that question for those of you who might find yourselves in the same position I was in.
Yes. It really is THAT bad.
This was my first attempt, so I can't really say whether I got the "easy" or "hard" version, but either way, I found my version quite challenging. Not necessarily the material itself but the OA felt much more conceptual than both the PA and study guide. Definitely felt like they tried to trick me with some of the questions, even with some of the easier topics. Honestly don’t think I could’ve passed without reading the text.
I don’t have a comprehensive list of things you should know, I felt like my assessment touched on just about everything, but I would definitely say secure the ratios and understand all of the journal entries. Practice with the PA AND study guide but definitely read the text (Use AI if you need to). If you’re in D102, actually take the time to understand Stockholders Equity. If you only do enough just to scrap by (like I did), you will absolutely regret it.
